My primary form of entertainment is reading. Some authors I enjoy
are Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Whittaker Chambers, William F. Buckley
Jr., Marvin Olasky, Russel Kirk, Hilton Kramer, Roger Kimball and
The only movies that I have any interest in watching are classics
from the 50's and earlier, high quality foreign films, or
documentaries. If I'm going to spend two hours of my life watching
a film, it better be worthwhile and have something redeeming in
As for television, I just don't watch it. I've never had cable, and
I'm not teally interested in getting it. I have not even plugged in
my television in over three years!
My music tastes vary. Typically I enjoy classical music. Some
artists I enjoy are Arvo Part, Bach, Chopin and others. I like this
music because it relaxes me and helps me forget about work. I also
happen to like music from the 20's thru 50's, and the 80's. I don't
really care for country, rap, bubble gum or music from the 60's and
70's. I'm always willing to try out different stuff however, and
keep an open mind.
As far as food goes, I'm not really fussy. The only thing I'm not
too crazy about are stewed tomatoes. If that's what's for dinner
though, I can tough it out. I have no problem trying out different
food from different cultures. In fact, I kind of like exploring and
trying different stuff.
