My self-summary
Self Summary Version 4.0

Hi there. I have a tendency to forget to introduce myself after talking to people, so my name's David. As you probably could guess, you now know my full name from my dumbass lame username. Feel free to internet stalk me. Really, I don't mind. If I had something to hide I wouldn't put it online!

I've learned from my old self-summary that I apparently talk about myself a lot. I don't think I do this in person, so I think that the method behind that particular madness is just me not knowing how to make a good impression because I'm kinda socially awkward that way.

Someone else on here said that they consider themselves extroverts with terrible social skills, and I think that pretty much summarizes me.

I like video games music and movies and videogames. I like staying up way too late. I like being sarcastic. I like to think I'm funny. I like to learn things.

I dislike tomatoes.
What I’m doing with my life
Studying economics, reading too many books at once, convincing myself that I can train myself to a professional gamer level and balance school and read even though I should only choose the latter two since they're what I'm good at. Okay who am I kidding I should be a professional reader.
I’m really good at
Making people happy, teaching college level astrophysics to people at a 5th grade level, and sarcasm.

You may have to remind me my voice has gone monotone if I encounter someone I don't like or if I'm being kind of a dick by mistake.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, my voice, or my smile. But usually it's the fact that I look like Seth Rogen. I can't count the number of times strangers have started to gawk at me before awkwardly diverting their attention like I was never there.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't have a favorite book. That's like asking me what my favorite galaxy is (M83 or NGC2392). I'm reading "The Blind Watchmaker", "The Elegant Universe", the "Song of Ice and Fire" series, "Transhumanist Dreams and Dystopian Nightmares", and "Warped Passages" right now. I love non-fiction. I'm leaving out too much of what I read. If you're curious... ask. But be prepared. If you google 3 or 4 of those books, you'll know why.

But I also had a spree reading Stephen King. I think that when he had 50 books out, I had read 45 of them or so.

Movies? Jeez, anything that can make me laugh, think, or want to do something afterwards! Watchmen, V for Vendetta, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Anchorman, and other stuff I can't think of.

Community!!! Holy mother of god why don't enough people know about this show? I watch too much Doctor Who, and used to be the president of Scrubs club in high-school. We would gather for lunch Monday Wednesday Friday to watch Scrubs. We reached peak attendance at 20% of the school.

I also like Eureka, Fringe, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Deathnote, Firefly, Samurai Jack, FLCL, Bleach and too many to list.

I like most music. Passion Pit, M83, the Gorillaz, movie scores, The Postal Service, Brad Paisley, all manners of dubstep, all manners of classic rock, and when I'm in the mood? Some rap. But I'm mostly into electronic-ish music right now. And I'm hooked on Childish Gambino.

If it's edible and it doesn't come from anywhere I wouldn't want to know about, I'll eat it. Except tomatoes. My dad knows this and loves to talk about how much he loves tomatoes. He's done this since I was 5 years old. I hate tomatoes.
The six things I could never do without
My music. Honestly, what would life be without music?
My friends.
My laptop -- I depend on it way too much nowadays.
My education. I enjoy learning more than anything, explaining my obsession with...

Honestly this is dumb because I like a lot more than six things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Physics, stars, galaxies, gaming, funny words, community, "what it all means"
On a typical Friday night I am
At a hookah lounge with a group of friends, out at a diner late, sitting at my computer playing games, or just watching a movie/tv show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm sort of a brony. I have one figurine and a sticker on my laptop, so I'm not incredibly creepy about it >_> I just kind of like the show on the same level that I like Samurai Jack or Adventure Time.

I'm also a hopeless romantic. *shrug*
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–23
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you enjoy watching movies and laughing at editor errors. Or just laughing at people in general. People are funny.

If you think a great Saturday consists of waking up, walking around in underwear and reading a book or watching TV/competitive gaming until 4 PM.

You're willing to learn how to play some video games if you don't know how and deal with a guy who reddits for 7-10% of his day.

But trust me -- if I like you, I can lower that percentage to around 5%. Maybe even 4%, but let's not push ourselves here.
