My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm sarcastic. I feel like that needs to be said up front.

I'm a born-and-bred North Carolinian, lived in and around Raleigh my whole life. I love it here. I'm a die-hard NCSU fan (GO PACK!) and Hurricanes fan.

I read a lot, and have noticed that I spend too much time indoors. I'm trying to become more active and would like to meet someone who is also interested in that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just recently started a job with a great company, really looking forward to the opportunities that will open up with it.

Have a better idea what I want out of my life, but do you ever really *know* what you wanna do when you grow up?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a very good cook, and I enjoy cooking for people I care about. I'm dabbling in baking and I think I'm getting pretty good at it. I was born to sarcasm, it's my native language with English a close second.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I dunno, what's the first thing that stands out to you? Best guess, my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I don't have a single favorite book, but my favorite series if The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. I'm also a big fan of Harry Turtledove, Michael Crichton and Stephen King. I don't collect comics anymore (got way too expensive), but my favorite series are Cable/Deadpool, StormWatch, Invincible and Astonishing X-Men.

Favorite movies - in no particular order - are Serenity, Say Anything..., Die Hard, the Star Wars trilogy (there's only one), and Moulin Rouge.

My all-time favorite show is Scrubs, hands down. I also love Joss Whedon shows (Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, Buffy). Current favorites include It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks and Recreation, Agents of SHIELD and Arrow.

I listen mostly to rock, but I can listen to anything. A few (ha!) of my favorites include Our Lady Peace, Jack's Mannequin, Foo Fighters, Matthew Good, Third Eye Blind, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Far Too Jones, Ben Folds Five, Tom Petty, Collin Raye, AC/DC. I could keep going.

I love sushi, also enjoy Italian and Mexican. There's nothing better than Southern comfort food (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits...).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family. They've always been there for me and always will. Family is the most important thing in my life. My family doesn't just mean the family I was born into. It includes those friends close enough to become part of my family.

2. Faith. I'm not a zealot by any means, but my faith is very important to me.

3. Coffee. Without it, mornings would be intolerable. The rest of the day wouldn't be much better.

4. Books. I read. A lot. It's my primary pastime.

5. My cellphone. It's my primary means of communicating with, well, everyone.

6. A d20. I make most of my inconsequential decisions (i.e. what should I order for dinner or what movie should I watch next) by a simple roll of the die. Makes life more interesting with a bit of chance.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life. I find myself wondering about my decisions, how things would have changed if I had done this instead of that. I can let it get away with me a little bit, though.

Generally though, I've come to accept everything I've done and the person it's led me to become. I'm happy with where I am, and have a lot to look forward to.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either enjoying a nerd night (that is to say, tabletop RPGs), hanging out with friends in a non-tabletop setting or enjoying a quiet night in binging on Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Anything you're willing to ask. I have no shame.

All of the above didn't scare you off or even interested you. At the very least, I'll make you laugh.
