My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm sarcastic. I feel like that needs to be said up front.

I'm a born-and-bred North Carolinian, lived in and around Raleigh my whole life. I love it here. I'm a die-hard NCSU fan (GO PACK!) and Hurricanes fan.

I read a lot, and have noticed that I spend too much time indoors. I'm trying to become more active and would like to meet someone who is also interested in that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working a monotonous full-time job for a company that cares very little for it's employees while offering amazing benefits. Looking for my "true calling" in life, whatever that may be.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a very good cook, and I enjoy cooking for people I care about. I'm dabbling in baking and I think I'm getting pretty good at it. I was born to sarcasm, it's my native language with English a close second.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't really speak for the first thing other people notice about me (since, y'know, I'm not other people), but the first thing I notice about myself are my eyes. I can get lost in them; it's why I only allow myself a few minutes in front of a mirror each day.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I don't have a single favorite book, but my favorite series if The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. I also read a lot of history and historical fiction.

Favorite movies - in no particular order - are Serenity, Say Anything..., Die Hard, the Star Wars trilogy (there's only one), and Moulin Rouge.

My all-time favorite show is Scrubs, hands down. I also love Joss Whedon shows (Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, Buffy). Current favorites include It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Elementary, Archer and Once Upon A Time.

I listen mostly to rock, but I can listen to anything. Favorite bands are Our Lady Peace, Gin Blossoms, Foo Fighters, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

I love sushi, also enjoy Italian and Mexican. There's nothing better than Southern comfort food (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits...).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family. They've always been there for me and always will. Family is the most important thing in my life. My family doesn't just mean the family I was born into. It includes those friends close enough to become part of my family.

2. Faith. I'm not a zealot by any means, but my faith is very important to me.

3. Coffee. Without it, mornings would be intolerable. The rest of the day wouldn't be much better.

4. Books. I read. A lot. It's my primary pastime.

5. My cellphone. It's my primary means of communicating with, well, everyone.

6. Central air. " No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater... than central air." (Kudos to anyone who gets the reference.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life. I find myself wondering about my decisions, how things would have changed if I had done this instead of that. I can let it get away with me a little bit, though.

Generally though, I've come to accept everything I've done and the person it's led me to become. I'm happy with where I am, and have a lot to look forward to.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either out with friends (for dinner, drinks, bowling, whatever), hanging out at home reading, watching movies or playing video games, or on those Friday nights that I hate, working.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Anything you're willing to ask. I have no shame.

All of the above didn't scare you off or even interested you. At the very least, I'll make you laugh.
