On paper, I am working to get my degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Pretending to be good at music
Naming different subgenres of music and film
Getting scared at nothing
Having panic attacks
Radiohead, especially "Kid A" and "Hail to the Thief"
Modest Mouse before "Good News for People Who Love Bad News" when they were still a three piece with heavy punk roots
Colour Revolt...All of it
Thrice, torn between The Artist and The Ambulance and Beggars for best album
The Dear Hunter, cuz how many other bands have their entire discography all in one cohesive story?
Blood Red Shoes
The Kills, Allison Mossheart is just ~('v')~
Every score that Johnny Greenwood has ever written
Nirvana, particularly Unplugged
Caravan Palace, Electro-Swing anyone?
As Tall As Lions...
I think you get the picture
Anything by Isaac Asimov. His Foundation series, and I-Robot, amazing insight into what could be the future. Then there's Vernor Vinge and Ray Kurzweil, Essayists on the coming technological Singularity, interesting stuff to read about.
The Attack on Titan manga, cuz Mikasa is badass, and who the fuck doesn't love giants that eat people for no reason other than to eat people?
Sylvia Plath rubs my artsy organs the right way, with angst and depression and love and some seriously fucking heavy shit.
I'll go with anything that Wes Anderson and Michael Gondry have written or directed. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? The only film where Jim Carrey doesn't make an ass of himself and actually is incredibly lovable? Yeah. Favourite Movie of all time.
I also read the webcomics Leftover Soup, Questionable Content, and Misfile. Cool beans.
