My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am unsummarizable! But here's my attempt.

I can interact with all kinds of people, from scientists and academics to musicians and artists. I believe being a southern girl makes me want to make everybody comfortable around me, and successful at it. I like to describe myself as "normal" in the most flattering way possible.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an engineering graduate student at Vanderbilt. I'm doing some pretty cool research. I like it a lot!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Bringing people together.
Remembering inside jokes.
Naming the artist/song/years/albums/etc of popular and not-so-popular music of the last five decades.
Driving a stick shift.
Sleeping way too much.
Cleaning instead of working.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I honestly have no clue. I notice people's mouth and teeth first, because that's what I look at while talking to people. Actually, I rarely ever look at people's eyes! Maybe they notice that...

No, it's probably my accent. I talk fast, but certain words just don't come out any other way than southern! I can't hide it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Fountainhead is my most favorite book I've read so far. And Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (neither about zen or motorcycles). I have a lot of books on my shelves that I've been working and reworking my way through.

Movies: Like 'em. However, unless I am watching with someone, though, I don't have enough attention span!

Community. Friends. Monty Python's Flying Circus. 30 Rock. Fallon.

All time favorites music artists are:
Yes. Debussy. Mahler. Sara Bareilles. Jason Mraz. Simon & Garfunkel. Beatles. Alabama. Garth Brooks. Genesis (with Peter Gabriel only). Phoenix. Ingrid Michaelson. Kimbra. Paramore.

Current favorites are:
Lucius. The Lone Bellow. Johnnyswim. LP. First Aid Kit. Ed Sheeran.

My favorite way to connect with people is by sharing music. :)

Foods: I'm a simple girl. I like soft serve ice cream and pepperoni pizza.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Besides food, water, shelter...

1. Chapstick.
2. The collective mother/father/family/good friends.
3. Rhapsody.
4. Q-tips. Can't go a day without cleaning the ears.
5. Yoga pants. They are like pajamas but acceptable to wear in public. Genius.
6. My comfy bed and sleeeeeeeep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to best maximize my time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Going to my hot yoga class. Afterwards though, I like low-key events where people can talk and laugh. People around me make it a-typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm gonna change this to "Say Something Interesting About Yourself Time"!

I'm allergic to (most) fresh fruits and vegetables. But I can eat them cooked! So apples are out... but apple pie is not.

Oral allergy syndrome. It's a real thing.
