Music - I grew up in the south I can appreciate classic country
artists. However, I'm not really a fan of it. I listen to many
different genres (depending on my mood). Some of my faves are The
Xx, Lykke Li, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Silver Spun Pickups, Metronomy, and
Miike Snow. Older faves are David Bowie, Bryan Ferry, Roxy Music,
Front 242, Depeche Mode, New Order, Nitzer Ebb, My Life With the
Thrill Kill Kult, The Smiths, Kraftwerk, Nine Inch Nails, Ibiza
techno mixes, Classical music, I could go on and on...
Radio - Into NPR. Live their show "This American Life" - It's
fantastic!
Films - Comedy, foreign and independent films. Pride and Prejudice,
Velvet Goldmine, Manon of the Spring, High Art, Hedwig and the
Angry Inch, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series (Swedish
series), Batman Dark Knight series, the Blue/White/Red and Kill
Bill series were great! I even liked Step Brothers - yeah, I said
it!
Love to see strong women in films. There's nothing like a bad-ass
woman taking charge of things like La Femme Nikita (French
version), Kill Bill, Columbiana, etc.
TV - Faves are True Blood, Dexter, The League, Californication,
Shameless, Testees, The L Word and La Femme Nikita (Peta Wilson is
dreamy).
