My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Please begin by noticing my age, gender, and most importantly, my marital status. It says married. This is not a lie.
I like to drink moderately, consume stupid television shows, intelligent films, and delicious foods.
My name is Dinah, pronounced like Dinah-saur. But don't worry. You'll still pronounce it incorrectly, but that's okay. I'm used to it. No really. It's okay.
I sleep till noon and stay up till 3am.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am all over Virginia right now, so I'm hard to catch. I technically live in Virginia Beach, but I spend most of the year living in Richmond. I go to Virginia Beach on the weekends to 'visit' my aforementioned husband. However, I work in Fredericksburg.

I am just beginning a big girl grown up job but still figuring out if I'm actually adulting.

As I'm in between places I'd love to find some nice platonic for real for real friends.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Filling silences with witty banter. Make friends with people I don't really like. Judging. Understanding people I've never met better than they understand themselves. Also, I'm pretty funny. I've heard that I'm not just funny for a girl, but funny in general, which I tend to find offensive, since I think most guys (and people in general) aren't that funny.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
First my glasses or hair, but that doesn't really tell you anything about me. Very first things rarely do. Sometimes boobs, but not as often as I'd suspect

Also, people who say eyes: seriously? I never notice anyone's eyes, and certainly not first off. Maybe after I really get to know someone. Even if someone had the most beautiful eyes in the world, I wouldn't notice right off. Stop lying.
And personality? How can you notice personality first??? That doesn't even make sense.

I really appreciate a well thought out profile, and answers like eyes and personality are a turn off.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Jurassic Park, children's books], Convergence Culture, tawdry romance novels, Agatha Christie. I honestly read more children's books than books for adults. I also listen to a lot of audio books while driving

Movies: Roman Holiday. I love Audrey Hepburn. I really like movies. I try to watch a lot of TCM, but I really don't like war movies. I fall asleep during action movies. If there is no dialogue driving plot, there is no reason for me to pay attention.

Music: Kanye West and I used to be BFFs, but this Kim thing has driven a wedge between us.
Music has to have a good beat for me to like it usually. I just like for music to be quirky, and if the artist has a sense of humor about it, I like it even more. I guess this applies to my life in general

Food: I just eat it, I don't have a favorite. I like to be adventurous about it. I love dim sum. I would love to make a friend who wants to try new and exciting foods in the area.

TV: I love General Hospital because it's hilarious and deep. Also the characters are family to me at this point. I like to watch tv as much as the next guy, but General Hospital is a full time job. Five hours a week! Also, I have a sick love for awful reality tv. I know that this is problem.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Bad movies or television. Sometimes I need to not think. A lot of the time I need to not think.
-My glasses. I've had them since I was 7 or 8, and I'm blind as a bat without them
-Bras. I don't get the bra burning thing. I need that!
-Internet, my window to the world. I'd be lost without it. Like I'd be friendless and alone for real.
-My journal. I don't write in it every day, but I've found that if I don't have it, that's when my life gets really crazy and I wish I had something to write in. It's insurance against the crazy.
-Places to go and People to See. I don't know if that's one or two things, but I really love going out and about. I guess I'm something of a social butterfly.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How stupid people are at work. I suspect most people think about this.
How I could make some incredible food that much better.

Also, the latest storyline on General Hospital.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing homework and watching TV. I also will go out and find something cheap/free to do with someone I like at least moderately. Hey! This someone could be you!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really hate birds. I really, really do. And no, Hitchcock didn't drive me to it. He just confirmed what I already know.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to be my friend and hang out. We can get coffee and laughs and strange food and inside jokes. Do you want to be awesome together?
You understand that Kanye has a huge ego but love him despite, or perhaps because, of that.
You like playing board games.
You've noticed that I'm seeing someone and not interested in dating you and you're cool with it.
