I am ambitious, fun, and active.

My Self-Summary

I'm a good guy who has a habit of liking bad girls, but I'm trying to fix that here. I pride myself on seeing the good in just about anyone and enjoying most people's company. I've always been ambitious, got through school fast, and now am a working man (and I'm loving it).

Little things really make me happy. Especially weird things. And thoughtful things, especially when they're small. I'd rather be given a really cool calendar by someone I like than a Rolex, and going to the bar as a zombie is 100x better than normal (Zombie Pub Crawl, hell yeah). I crave anything that's exciting or interesting, and I hate boredom.

I'm affectionate and a give-and-take type person, and I like people who are similar. I like people who are active, not lazy, ambitious, fun, easy going, and intelligent, but all within reason. For instance, I don't like people who think they're the smartest thing since sliced bread (who, for instance, would have a problem with that mixed metaphor). And I don't like people who actually are about as smart as sliced bread.

I'm on this site to find decent people who want to be friends or go on casual dates and see how it goes. I used to be an introverted person, but over the past couple of years I've become very social, and I want to meet new people. I love my friends and would do anything for them, but I also love meeting new people to learn and experience new things.

On any given week, I try to socialize as much as possible. I'm pretty easy when it comes to a fun time--I'm up for anything. It's hard to get a no out of me if you're a fun person. Events I can't live without are going out for sushi and watching horror movies. For bigger events, I like parties, going to clubs (though that was mostly in Germany), anime conventions (yeah... bit nerdy, not gonna lie), watching a big UFC event with friends, the Zombie Pub Crawl, tons of other randoms, and most importantly: Halloween.

List of likes:
travel, sports (cycling, skiing, golf, swimming, anything really), music, movies, reading, language, cooking, sailing, camping/backpacking/canoeing, going up north, video games, games, anime, sci-fi, horror, survival horror (video game genre), eating, driving, cards and then a ton.

What I’m doing with my life

I graduated a year early from college and got a job! I still keep in contact with my old and new friends, and now that I have a steady job (programming) and am out of school and am transitioning into this new lifestyle, I'm trying to meet some new people.

I’m really good at

fixing things. I put MacGyver to shame. That and... things I put my mind to.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm funny if off-the-wall at times. I'm definitely a quirky one, but it makes me stand out.

With the physical, people often tell me I smell good, and observant people usually comment on my my nice eyelashes (for what that's worth)...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: House of Leaves, Neverwhere, Catch-22, Sherlock Holmes, LoTR trilogy and The Hobbit, Tao Te Ching, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Slaughterhouse 5, JTHM

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Evil Dead Trilogy, Romero films, Resident Evil films, Seven, Twelve Monkeys, Stolen Kisses, Amelie, Delicatessen, Princess Bride, Trainspotting, District B13, District 9, Miyuzaki Films, Shaun of the Dead, The Philadelphia Story, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Donnie Darko, Friday

Music: rock (classic, modern, metal), hip hop, electronica, industral, 80s, some pop. James Holden, Outkast, Killswitch Engage to name a few favoites.

TV: Dexter, Torchwood, Firefly, Invader Zim, Anime, sometimes sports

Also, tons of stuff I'm way too lazy to list. I hate lists. And quizzes on this site.

The six things I could never do without

Random order...

friends
stimulus
new things
sleep
a job
loud music

I spend a lot of time thinking about

how to make the best of situations, impossible hypothetical situations, song lyrics, how to unify physics.

On a typical Friday night I am

not on a computer. Except tonight. Damn it. Usually doing something with friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Ask and I will tell.

You should message me if

you are a good person. Also, you get mondo points if you like good hip hop and like bad hip hop if it's excellently bad.

And if you can write your message in German, I don't care who you are, just do it! (No guys though. I'm tired of suave German fellows trying to pick me up.)
