My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a creative midwestern girl. I like to think of myself as a savvy businesslady.. and a thoughtful and generous friend. My family is special... Even though they live in other parts of the country, I try to spend as much time with them as possible- traveling, fishing, scuba diving, hearing my bro play music and cooking together- it's always an adventure. I travel because I like new challenges, new flavors, new smells, new textures and colors, new languages and customs. Luckily I get to travel a bit for work which affords me the opportunity to maintain some close friendships and explore and even feel at home in a few other cities. Being active is important to me (almost) every day. While I'm in constant search of progress in my career and creative soul fulfillment, I'm equally as concerned with living a mentally and physically healthy life. I embrace spontaneity- because you never know what tomorrow will bring. I believe that rules were made to be broken- as long as it doesn't impact someone else adversely. I believe that life isn't worth living unless you are willing to take some risks. I'm a sensitive and observant person- I try to be aware of my impact on others and look at things from perspectives other than my own. I walk deliberately but lightly on the earth. I've taken some epic journeys in this fascinating world- and I'm looking for someone who shares the same thirst for adventure and lack of fear of things that are different. I recently spent a month traveling in India- so now I'm looking for some new and exciting dude with whom I can share my colorful concoctions inspired by the exotic flavors I experienced there.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a food stylist, which means I create subject matter out of food for photographs that would appear in advertising, on packages in the grocery store, in magazines and cookbooks and sometimes in live motion as commercials. I'm working on taking my body of work to a new creative and innovative level. I'm constantly looking for creative things to do... even if it means cooking something complicated and beautiful or making someone a birthday cake. Cultivating relationships is essential- so I try to spend a lot of time with friends. I'm currently obsessed with doing my workouts on the Lyon Street Stairs- so I do a lot of my sweating there lately. I'm also starting to think about my next big adventure- maybe diving in Thailand or Malaysia. Any Ideas?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
driving with my knees while flossing, taking care of the people I love, making healthy but delicious meals from random ingredients leftover from photo shoots, discerning mysterious flavors or smells, dropping the f-bomb in creative and not so creative ways.

people tell me I have nice skin. I try to give out more positive energy than I suck from others- I hope people notice that. Oh yeah, and my glasses.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
my brother
intelligentsia coffee
a sports bra
frequent flyer miles
my knife, tweezers and blowtorch
the support and love of my amazing friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how I'm going to do and be everything I want in this life... trick is not to overthink it but just do it!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hopefully doing something spontaneous. I love to cook for my friends or meet out for overpriced rum drinks. I'm entirely content at a good movie... and need to spend more time seeing live music. I love checking out new SF restaurants, trendy or ethic.

I love going to my pool on weekend evenings because I'm frequently one of only a few people there. I love going to the JCC because swimming with old eastern european women makes me feel svelte.

you think you can make me laugh. You are ambitious, intelligent, communicative, aware of your impact on those around you, like to get your hands dirty, looking for adventure and don't adhere to traditional methods of doing everything.
