In case you want to prove me wrong.......I'm a native Midwesterner, born and raised in Kansas. Yes, Kansas. It was quite the experience growing up different from everyone, but it definitely shaped who I am today. I guess it's what makes me so comfortable in my own skin. My body may be elsewhere, but my heart will always be with Kansas.
That said, Chicago is home now, and hopefully for a while. I never anticipated I'd love the city as much as I do, a little over a year since moving here. Since there is so much to do here, whenever I'm not working, I try to make it a point to cross off cool and interesting things to do on the "must do/see in Chicago" list. Needless to say, I have had some cool experiences and stories all across the city. At this point of our lives, it's all about the stories, right? I'd love to find someone to share these experiences with, either with a new friend, or more!
Some random, quirky facts about me: I tend to err on the side of politeness and respect with everyone I meet during my daily travels; I guess I'm a southern gentleman at heart. I made a list of 101 goals recently on the advice of a patient of mine. I've had three separate near death experiences, so I tend to not sit around and take life for granted. I usually have a smile on my face, and I'll probably try my hardest to get one out of you all the time. I enjoy a good joke or story, and will always return the favor. I love anything to do with cars and architecture. I read several newspapers every day. I try to do the NY Times crossword, but to this day, still can't consistently finish a series. No one has beat me in Trivial Pursuit.
This is a work in progress. If I sound interesting, write me a message. I'm always down for a drink. Or two ...
