It's probably paranoid, but I feel like everything I write here is
being scrutinized for some hidden meaning. Stop it! :) I try to be
pretty straight forward and appreciate a similar candor in others.
So *try* to take me at my word here (or at least as much as you can
a total stranger on the internet).
I'm awesome, yet too modest to say so. Complex without necessarily
being "complicated". :) I like to think I have a pretty decent
sense of humor and can cover the spread between WTF (see "what I
think about" section below for an example) to business dinner
Work in progress (I suppose that applies to me as well, but in this
case I was just referring to this particular section). More to
What I’m doing with my life
I was sort of stuck in a rut a few years back so I'm trying to make
up for a little lost time by seeking out new experiences big and
small. Good job in my field of choice, house in the equivalent of
the burbs - I've got all the mundane parts of life taken care of
(at least to the point I really don't have to put much thought into
them). That is not to say I have some specific life plan involving
those things, so I consider those all up for grabs. Luckily the job
allows me a fair amount of flexibility, both from a geographical
and time perspective, so I'm quite open to the possibility of some
I'm trying to find some more excuses to travel. I've got no qualms
about going places on my own (and have quite a bit), but that
doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy some company now and then. :)
I’m really good at
Cooking, especially baking. I'm usually on the hook for desserts
for family gatherings.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm taking this question to mean more from a physical perspective,
in which case I honestly don't have a clue. Maybe it's the Midwest
modesty, but I consider myself average attractiveness in the looks
department. My awesomeness is more in my personality and that takes
a little longer for folks to see.
Maybe you should tell me so I have something to put in here. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This probably sounds like a cop-out, but I don't really have much
for favorites. I like a lot of things, and for the most part it
comes down to what I'm in the mood for at the time.
The six things I could never do without
My car - I'm one of those weirdos who actually enjoys driving and
thinks absolutely nothing about driving to the Twin Cities area to
meet up with friends or whatever. Heck, I drove to Maryland to
visit my brother this Easter just because I enjoy a good
Yes, I realize that's only one. See the above statement about
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Too many things. Things I probably shouldn't. Like is Goofy the
next evolution of dogs in the Disney Universe (in which case,
ouch), or is Pluto some sort of throwback? What do you think it's
like when those two are in the same room? I bet it's awkward at
best, maybe a little raw if it's just the two of them and Mickey's
On a typical Friday night I am
It's a pretty safe bet I'm staying up way too late (bit of a night
owl when left to my own devices). What I'm doing during that time
is up for grabs - checking out a local band, just having a few with
friends and people watching, or sitting around home telling myself
I should get some much needed rest and then realizing it's 4am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sorry, I'm not one of those who spills personal details freely out
into the ether (so no, you can't follow me on Twitter). However, I
am more than happy to trade secrets in person.
You should message me if
I feel the phrase "Near me" is a relative term. As I mentioned
before, I don't mind the drive. So anything within ~2hrs.
You chuckled even the slightest bit at anything here.
You think smart is sexy.
Also, please have a picture. I do. :)
