My self-summary
English chap in Paris. Pretty driven and ambitious. Always up for trying new and exciting things. I like to think I'm quite smart and worldly but I'm also a bit of an idiot and have a tendency to do dumb shit when I get bored.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently in career mode. I run a bar, restaurant and a nightclub. It takes up all my time but I love every minute of it.
I’m really good at
Making cocktails and getting away with murder
The first things people usually notice about me
In France it tends to be my accent
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Joseph Heller's Catch 22 is my favourite book of all time, followed closely by F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. Otherwise I'm all about Hunter S. Thompson, William Burroughs and JG Ballard. In my spare time I'm an aspiring writer so any book that's going to give me cool ideas that I can later steal and pass off as my own is alright with me.

When it comes to films and TV I am a geek. I make no apologies. If you can't handle references from old school Simpsons episodes or classic movies then I am not the guy for you.

Music is ridiculously important to me but once again I don't have a favourite type ... Anything with soul and energy I am down for. If I was pressed I'd say somewhere between Punk Rock, Ska and old school Hip Hop ... and Otis Redding.

I'm not a foodie but eating is a big part of my life. I honestly can't think of a type of food I don't like. Cooking is the most relaxing thing I know how to do.
The six things I could never do without
A pen and a pad
My music collection
My velib pass
Bartending equipment
A book to read
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'd do if there were a zombie apocalypse or if I woke up in the film Groundhog Day.
On a typical Friday night I am
At work, unfortunately, but when I'm off I'll be out with friends drinking cocktails and causing mischief.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You know that quiet burst of disappointment you get when you hear about a celebrity you like getting married? When I heard about Daniel Craig and Rachel Weiss getting married I somehow managed to get it twice.

  • For new friends

You're chilled out and honest and don't take life too seriously ... And by the way saying"hi" is fine. Making up something faux witty on the spot comes across as cheesey and desperate 99.9% of the time. Believe me, I've tried.
