Taken, In a Relationship, and Very Happy!
My self-summary Propose an edit
Hi! I'm 23 years old, currently residing in Gainesville, Tx, but
spend most of my time in Denton. I love kids (but don't have any of
my own), and am working towards a degree in elementary education.
I'm a country fan, and in the process of learning how to dance
(although I'm not that great at it YET).
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I'm a senior at Texas Woman's University in Denton, with 2
semesters left before graduation. If all goes as plans, I will be
receiving my Bachelor's degree in May of '08. With summer here, I
can typically be found at one of my 2 jobs. If I'm not at either
place, I can be found goofing off with my friends and/or being
introduced to new games (I'm a gamer in training). I enjoy living
life in the now, but I also now the importance of planning for the
future.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
People don't tend to notice me at first. I'm one of those that
tends to blend into my surroundings more then anything, and that
doesn't really bother me too much. I'm the one you can bump into
and end up having a 30 minute conversation with in the middle of
the store.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
Well with each of the categories, I have a wide variety of
interests.
In books - I tend to like fantasy books. I want to be taken away
from reality if only for a few minutes and be able to drift into a
make-believe world. I've read all of the Harry Potter books, and
plan to get the next one when it comes out. I will admit to reading
Harlequins and other such romance books (Nora Roberts being my
favorite author in that genre), not to mention I have a large
collection of childrens books. I am currently in the process of
reading "Autobiography of a Geisha" that my friend has lent to me,
and am greatly enjoying it.
Movies - Romantic Comdies are some of the best, along with anything
to do with the middle ages. A Knight's Tale was a great movie, as
was the Brothers Grimm. One of my favorites happens to be a movie
called the 10th Kingdom, rarely have I found someone that's heard
of the movie, much less actually sat down and watched it (it is
around 6 hours long). I worked at a video store for 3 years, and
will watch almost anything once.
Music - Hmm.. music.. First off, I do like Country, both old and
new. The first set of programmings on my radio is set for country
stations. I also listen to light rock, oldies, instrumental, and
have recently been introduced to world music such as JRock/Pop,
along with some Korean, and French-Folk. Music was a big part of my
life growing up, and typically will have cd/radio playing as
opposed to television.
Food - I come from Texas, so I've been exposed to quite a blend of
different cultures during my life so far. I starting eating seafood
(mostly crab legs and shrimp) at the age of 2, so you can't go
wrong with seafood in my eyes. Authentic Mexican is also good,
along with some fast food Mexican foods. I'm ATTEMPTING to eat
healthier, but it's a long stretch ahead of me. There are very few
foods that I will not try at least once. (Yes I have eaten Sushi,
and probably would again given the chance).
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
1) My Family - I am extremely close with my family, even though we
are a bit of an odd family. They are my support system and have
pushed me to be who I am today.
2) My Friends - They understand me better then anyone else. They
are my world, and if I was forced to choose between a guy and a
close friend, the friend would win out every time.
3) My Cell Phone - I am a social person, and like to keep in touch
with people. I feel naked today due to the fact that my cell got
left sitting on my desk. *sigh*
4) My Car - My way of destressing is to go out driving, I don't
care how high the gas prices get. Give me a map, and I'm good to
go. Forget mapquest/yahoo maps, I'll find my own way to get
there.
5) My Computer - I feel like my life is spent on the computer. I
keep in touch with friends that have moved off, research, study and
do my homework all from my computer. In a way I wish I didn't have
to depend on it so much, but at this point in my life, not really
an option.
6) My Dog - There has never been a period of time in my life where
I didn't have some animal around me. My dogs that I have had always
seem to know when I'm down, or not feeling well.. I love their
loyalty and devotion to their owner. If you want me, you get my dog
too!>
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
The future... what's it going to be like? What will I be doing? The
future both scares and fascinates me at the same time.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
Typically trying to keep my managers from fighting over where I'm
going to be working that night, but occasionally I'm able to talk
my way into a Friday night off work.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
Ask me a question, and I may answer. You never know if you don't
ask.
