I am cuddly, ambitious, and open-minded.
My Self-Summary
So...what to say about myself?? I'm new to Edmonton and am just
settling in. Friendship has always been very important to me, so
what I'm really looking for is people to meet in this new city I
call home. I'd love to meet that "love of my life" (like most women
do I guess), but I also believe it will happen when the time is
right, so I'm not toooo worried about it :)
To say a little about what interests me--First--photography (I just
bought a digital SLR which I call my baby and am more then in love
with). I love camping, swimming, walking, and curling up on a rainy
day to read a good book. I can be very girly sometimes and I love
chick flicks....However, I'm not afraid to get down and dirty when
the time calls for it ;P
Anything else about me...well I guess you'll have to message me to
find out:D
What I’m doing with my life
In Toronto, I completed a double major in Psychology and Visual
Arts...I know...two completely different fields. I moved to
Edmonton at the beginning of the year to go to school and take
advantage of the provinces booming economy. I'm currently
completing my Human Resource Management Certificate with the U of
A. I also work in Human Resources and can happily say that I love
my job and the company I work for :D So, to answer the big question
of what I'm doing with my life...I'm working towards accomplishing
my career goals and trying to have fun and meet new and exciting
people while I'm at it.
I’m really good at
I think that I'm a good photographer. It makes me happy and I guess
that's all that really matters.
What I can say is that I'm NOT so good at complimenting myself...so
completing this section makes me feel a bit goofy :S
The first things people usually notice about me
People always tell me they notice my eyes....well women always say
that...the men always say they notice the two lumps attached to my
chest...lol.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books - I love to read...I like to think it keeps the brain fresh.
My favorites are the Memoirs - A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Angela's
Ashes, Anne Frank and Ghandi's autobiography to name a few. I'm a
self-professed Harry Potter nerd (if heaven had witches and
dragons...that would be it..lol) I also love the classics like
Little Women, Jane Eyre, Anna Karenina and any Jane Austin book.
I'm currently reading a book called The Power of One which is
pretty good so far.
Movies - I adore a good chick flick. My favorite being Love
Actually...it's just soooo romantic (I say as I swoon). I have also
seen the A&E version of pride and prejudice about a hundred
times (to be honest, it may even be a hundred and one times). On
the opposite end of the spectrum, I also love those heavy political
movies like Blood Diamond, Hotel Rwanda and The Constant Gardiner.
And again, I'm a sucker for Harry Potter (see above
confession).
Music - pretty eclectic.
Foods - I don't eat red meats or seafood..no reason other then that
I just can't take the taste. I am a sucker for a tasty piece of
chicken though. I also really love Indian food, even if it doesn't
always love me :S My absolute favorite food is cherries, but those
new cinnamon All Bran bars are a very close second. MMMMMMM!
The six things I could never do without
1. My camera.
2. My family.
3. A good book.
4. A really nice pillow that is not too soft that it smoothers you,
but not too hard that it feels like the floor.
5. A bathtub.
6. A dream or goal to accomplish.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My family that is so far away :( I also love to dream about all of
the places I want to visit in the future. I would LOVE to travel
India some day, see the Alhambra in Grenada, breath in the smells
of the markets in Marrakesh....maybe someday... :D
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing what I think sounds good at the moment....or studying if
needed.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have a list of Things To Do...corny yes, but true. Right around
the top of the list is my desire to ski down a mountain. So I
figured there's no better time then now (since I now live three
hours from them). I'd never skied in my life so perhaps this was a
bit ambitious:S I went this past winter and discovered....I am not
very good at it. I got a ton of bruises, but I had a blast and to
me that's what's most important :)
You should message me if
You like what you read ;)
