My self-summary
My life was kind of boring so I moved to Thailand. It was a good decision. Now I live in Korea where I teach English to a couple thousand middle schoolers. It's great!

Most of the best times in my life involve people randomly bursting into song.

I'm pretty irreverent. For example, I sometimes eat breakfast cereal for dinner. I also enjoy hula hooping on ancient temples.

I am always up for karaoke.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm teaching middle school English in Korea, and saving money to go see other parts of the world.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at throwing Fabulous Parties and writing double dactyls.

I am not very good at these things, but I love singing karaoke and hula hooping and like to think that my enthusiasm makes up for my lack of skill.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like to read about social history and things people used to believe. I like books about history and books about food. I don't read enough fiction.

Movies: Fantasia, The Princess Bride, From Hell, Moulin Rouge, The Ladykillers, Almost Famous, Stardust, Across the Universe, Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day.

Music: You know, classic rock, modern rock, folk rock, glam rock, hard rock, soft rock, southern rock, prog rock, blues rock. My favorites are Queen, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles.

Food: Curry and tangerines. Probably not together. Maybe together.
The six things I could never do without
To stay sane and happy, I need hot running water, delicious wonderful food, good people, interesting stuff to read, pretty things to look at, and sleep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about how big the world is. And how small. And what will I do next and will I get to see it all?

Also about accidental rhyme.
On a typical Friday night I am
maybe singing karaoke or eating delicious pizza, almost definitely having an unexpected adventure.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have like no zombie apocalypse survival skills.
