My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

OK, this is why I'm here, my "ad":

Seeking intimacy, in any of it's myriad forms.

I'd love to be turned on and fall in love with somebody. Lived a long time, but that state of affairs has mostly eluded me. Meanwhile, I relish meaningful connections of all kinds. There are many ways of loving people, and they're all to be cherished.

I appreciate complexity...but abhor dishonesty.

Be who you are, who you really are, and light up the world with it. There's nothing sexier. Or more valuable.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, filling out forms. I don't like forms.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Well, I'm a good person, that I can say.

I don't read much anymore besides the New York Times. Favorite films are from the 30's & 40's, I'm avid about them. Favorite music, classical. Nothing man has wrought in any field exceeds this sublime legacy, a crowning achievement of Western civilization that has been woefully deemed irrelevant in our education system. I also get passionate about great singers (read Judy Garland) singing great standards from the so-called "Great American Songbook". I cherish the sensual pleasures of dining on good food & drink, simple & complex, and love sharing the experience with others. Not on the list, but I have to throw it in, I love horticulture, growing things, and being in gardens. My greatest frustration as a city dweller, where they won't even allow flowers on the fire escapes outside my windows.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Six? Ah, it's a form.

Frankly, most of what I need, I don't have in my life right now.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what it means to be alive
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
umm, well, it's Friday night now...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I strive to comprehend the reality of things, external & internal. The direct and honest expression of myself is the only way I know. But everything has its time and place.

This ain't it.

...if you're the slightest bit intrigued. Yeah, it's a gamble. But who can assess anything here? A moment in person will transmit more information, communicate more, than all the words & pics in cyberspace could ever hope to.

N.B. The age cutoffs I entered are arbitrary. I had to put something there. Didn't much like being pigeon-holed in the last "looking for" category either, but couldn't leave it blank, so I checked 'em all.
