I really never know how to begin talking about myself, but here goes.

I am one of the rare people that was actually born and raised in Georgia. I am a high school Spanish teacher (I know, I'm white!) and I love it. I especially love the reactions I get from people when I speak to them since I am not an 'obvious' Spanish speaker.

I love teaching high school, especially freshman, because they are hilarious and keep me laughing. I am probably more sarcastic with them than I should be but sometimes I can't help it. As much as love teaching, I definitely need my summer for my brain cells to regenerate after slowing losing them throughout the school year.

I have started traveling a lot more the past year. Places I have visited include New York, Puerto Rico, the Domincan Republic and El Salvador. I am fascinated with different cultures and traditions and traveling is one way to explore my interest.

I have an 8 year old son who entertains me constantly.

I am a Christian and am looking for someone who shares my faith.

Three summers ago I purchased my first house and I am finding home ownership to be extremely rewarding. I have developed a knack for watching DIY videos and repairing things around the house. I feel like such a success after spending two hours on a project that should have only taken 10 minutes. (OK, I said I can watch the videos, not necessarily follow directions.)

I started playing Ultimate Frisbee a few months ago. Why was I so late in discovering this?!

I can recall random, usually entertainment related, obscure trivia.

Also, I was a dance major (ballet) my first year in college and I still take classes, so I think I have pretty good rhythm.

My eyes or my smile, I think. I'm a pretty outgoing person and almost always in a good mood, so people probably notice that before anything else.

Books: I read a lot. I am currently reading the Harry Potter series (I know I am 10 years behind the rest of the world). As long as a book can keep me interested, I will read it, although I prefer mystery/ action. Memoirs are also another favorite.

Movies: Depends on my mood...I will give every movie a chance, but silly, ridiculous comedies are always fun. (Dodgeball, Zoolander, Anchorman). I just saw Bridesmaids and it was hilarious; I highly recommend it.

Music: I have a very eclectic taste in music with the exception of rap.

Food: Ethnic food
