My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
embracing the flux and thriving. that's right, I'm a leaf on the wind, baby!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
pulling out of neutral. I finished up school and am doing the career change thing ... learning about and getting my feet wet in the wacky world of digital marketing ... listening to obscene amounts of music (more on that later) ... helping people make wise alcohol purchases ... deepening and expanding close friendships ... plotting adventures.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can see situations from a thousand angles. like a fly! also, listening, not being judgmental, and procrastinating.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
oh I don't know, I'm dressed all in black ... or the eyelashes, it's become apparent that that's a thing, big time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

lately; Jonathon Franzen, Junot Diaz, Jennifer Egan, Colson Whitehead, and George RR Martin have joined in with my always faves; William Burroughs, James Joyce, Pynchon, William Gibson, Borges, Murakami -- lots more to go along. I recently finished 1Q84 and decided to jump into the deep end with Bleeding Edge and also introduced to truly excellent George Saunders short stories by a friend.

still haven't seen much in the way of movies. time and I are not on great terms in that regard. but I'll watch the hell out of some tv; Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Dexter, True Blood, Shameless, Californication, House of Lies, Mad Men, Masters of Sex and of course a healthy amount of Whedonstuff. I intend to spend an entire vacation binge watching The Wire one of these days. Also I freely admit to loving Sex and the City to the extreme degree of watching The Carrie Diaries ... yup.

I spent quite a few years as a dj/promotor within the local industrial club scene and may pick it up again at some point but for now I'm content with listening to beats that may or may not get the floor moving. truly I really need a profile just for my relationship with music and what it says about me. but ain't nobody got time for that. recent faves (2011- present-ish) in lieu of a gigantic list in this already overlong profile:
skinny puppy -- weapon
xtg -- desertshore/the final report
black egg -- legacy from a cold world
grimes -- visions
swans -- the seer
kanye west -- yeezus
shabazz palaces --black up
savages -- silence yourself
chelsea wolfe -- pain is beauty
lustmord -- the word as power
a place to bury strangers -- worship
pusha-t -- my name is my name
cold cave -- a bunch of singles that came out
lebanon hanover -- tomb for two

I'm improving my concert attendance these days ... caught carter tutti, and looking forward to kraftwerk, skinny puppy, and the knife. but enough of this rambling ...

oh I forgot to mention WHISKEY!!! all kinds ... well not canadian (I love canadians dig hanging out there but the booze (selling and making) needs work.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
ipod (the big 160gb bastard for sure)
laptop/smartphone/tablet -- hey, I need actual thing, things too
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the nature of lasting relationships of all stripes ... if there is ever a point in life when you don't consider the feelings of the child version of yourself ... how come you don't get better at sleeping with all that damn practice -- maybe if I had detachable arms, hmm ...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
not so much with the friday night thing ... I much prefer weeknight hangs out in the world and weekends with my closest peeps away from the rabble.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
meh, there's pretty much no limit to what I'm willing to admit. ask away.

you want to join me as we run around and claim parts of this lovely city in the name of imaginary heroes ... or you know, for reasons of your own that may or may not make as much sense as that. I'm totally looking for a partner in crime, but feel slightly ashamed of the banality of that statement. buy hey, cliches are cliches for damn reason. damnit.
