What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently in pharmacy school, so that takes up a huge chunk of my time. So many things to learn, but I can't wait to get my PharmD!
I’m really good at
cranium humdingers!

keeping ridiculous hours. I like to cat nap and stay up late/early, which is ironic because I don't care too much for cats. hmm...

staying hydrated. ^_^

cooking dishes in a well-seasoned wok.
The first things people usually notice about me
I get excited about a lot of random things--like animals, flowers, mixed drinks, cars, new foods to try...

I'm comfortable with long silences.

My smile :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
scifi, fantasy, romance, action, oldies, musicals!

Books: Song of Ice and Fire Series, Pride and Prejudice, The Princess Bride, Harry Potter & The Hunger Games (for adolescent novels, they were pretty darn good)

Movies: Die Hard, Star Wars (Ep 4,6,5,3,1,2...from favorite to least favorite), Spaceballs, The Matrix, A Walk to Remember, Serenity, Pride and Prejudice, The Sound of Music, Grease, Shaun of the Dead, Kick Ass, Gladiator, The Wizard of Oz, Lord of the Rings, vaudeville musical movies from the 40s and 50s (Singing in the Rain, Meet Me in St. Louis, the Harvey Girls), An Affair to Remember, Princess Mononoke, Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Thirteen (but 12 is only "eh"), Apocalypto, The Rock (best SF movie...ok Dirty Harry's up there too)

Shows: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Seinfeld, Star Trek: Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, Firefly, The Big Bang Theory, Mad Men

Music: top 40s, random alternative (kate nash, dave matthews band, jason mraz, coldplay, joshua radin, matt nathanson, iron and wine, florence and the machine), oldies (elvis, the everly brothers, frank sinatra, dean martin, the carpenters), 90s power house vocalists (whitney houston, mariah carey, celine dion), pianomen (billy joel, david foster, elton john, yiruma)

Food: Chinese, Filipino, Persian, Thai, Vietnamese, American, Italian, French, ....it's weird that this is a list of ethnicities, so....

Revised "Fav Foods": eggs (not for the taste, but they're easy to cook and have an awesomely fun texture when raw), peanuts, mangosteens, pringles, cashews, smoked gouda, salmon, boneless, skinless chicken thighs (also easy to cook), oysters (for their equally intriguing raw-egg-like texture), lemons, oreos, dishes requiring bay-leaves, oranges, sour patch kids, roast duck, ice cold strawberry-infused water, biscuits and gravy...
The six things I could never do without
3 essentials: Family, Friends, and Health
3 things that make having the essentials all the more enjoyable (especially, let's say, in a zombie apocalypse): Laughter, Food, and the potential for Technological Advancement (which includes running water, fire, and possible ways to elude said zombie apocalypse)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my future, the Future, and what inanimate objects would say if they could talk.
On a typical Friday night I am
grabbing a beer with friends at a local SF bar, eating with the family, going out for a movie, meeting up with friends for a late night dessert, and/or just hanging out at home listening to music or watching a good show/movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a tendency to fall, trip, and/or walk into stationary objects. And when I do, it's usually followed by an immediate pause in movement, a long period of silence, and then a completely unnecessary declarative statement of the obvious (ie: "I fell.").

when I'm sad, stressed, or brain dead from studying/working...I watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTyw6cq86kY . It's inspirational! haha

I'm looking for someone I can really be myself with.

I'm horrible at video games. It doesn't seem that personal, but when I'm at a party and ppl start to force smash bros or Mario cart on me, I turn beet red...it can get rough. (I know--first world problems!)

I can be loyal to a fault at times.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 25–37
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you managed to read my entire "favorite..." list, you're looking to get to know someone who's optimistic, passionate about their career, and kind, you ever toast "to the Army and the Navy and the battles they have won!" (google it =P ), you think (but do not hope) that zombies can be a reality, Basil Hayden is on your top list of hard liquors, you have an amazing dog, and/or you don't mind the use of random ellipsis...

happy okcupid-ing! =)

PS: please, please, do not TELL me you have "Asian/yellow fever"...if you have it that's fine, but I do not want to know that that's your sole reason for messaging me :/
