Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
There are far too many to name. This is hard to answer as i collect films, books, and music. I like Brett Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, Kurt Vonnegut, William Burroughs, Douglas Copeland, Gavin McInnes--when he is writing, Hunter S. Thompson, Anthony Bozza, Jerry Stahl, Neil Strauss, Lester Bangs, Chuck Klosterman as far as authors/ books are concerned. I couldn't even begin to name the movies and music. If i have to narrow it down, i will just go with what i have been listening and watching lately: Joy Division, Interpol, Iron Maiden, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Doves, Buzzcocks, Black Sabbath, Sleep, Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop, The Stooges, Pentagram, Turbonegro, New York Dolls, Johnny Thunders, Queens of the Stone Age, Exploding Hearts, Megadeth, Death from Above 1979, Secret Machines, Tame Impala, Slayer, Dead Kennedys, White Lung, Pulp, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Refused, The Replacements, Echo Friendly, Motley Crue, And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, Prince, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Killing Joke, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, King Diamond, Circle Jerks, Big Black, AC/DC, The Soft Moon, Rolling Stones, Phoenix, The Jam, War on Drugs, The Cars, Parquet Courts, Run The Jewels, Diamond Nights, The Vaccines, Place to Bury Strangers, Gang of Four, PiL, The Hives, Duran Duran, Spoon, David Bowie, Roxy Music, Early Day Miners, Cold Cave, Depeche Mode, The Smiths and on and on. I have been watching loads of documentaries lately. I just picked up the Decline of the Western Civilization series on DVD and recently saw The Wolfpack. With most movies, if its part of the Criterion Collection, I'll make an effort to see it/ own it. I've liked a lot of Steven Soderbergh, Gregg Araki, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, Paul Thomas Anderson, Edgar Wright, Sam Peckinpah, Roman Polanski, Roger Corman, Russ Meyer, Stanley Kubrick, Robert Altman, Peter Bogdanovich, John Cassavetes, Larry Clark, David Cronenberg, Wes Anderson, Brian De Palma and Ridley Scott movies. Again, this list could go on and on. Regarding television shows, I've been watching Sunny in Philadelphia, Mad Men, The Office (both UK and American versions), Chappelle Show, Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks, Daria, Kids in the Hall, Portlandia, The Simpsons, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse, Tim and Eric Awesome Show Good Job, Mr. Show, Arrested Development, Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll, Sonic Highways, Saved By The Bell, Adventures of Pete and Pete, Breaking Bad, Full House and so forth. As far as food, i'm a huge fan of cereal.
