My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am constantly doing things, making things, reading things.
I sew wedding gowns, make jewelry, paint, draw, do trapeze, perform in burlesque shows, and there's got to be more. I enjoy being constantly active, and I like people with stuff going on in their lives as well.

I'm a bit of a crazy person, always trying to discover who I am and find my way. It feels like I'm beginning to make progress in this.

I've been mostly vegetarian for most of my life and vegan for over a year. This is very important to me, but I don't shove it down people's throats unless they ask me about it (and yes, I'll occasionally post vegan shit on Facebook, but less than once a month). If you eat a lot of meat and drive most everywhere, it's probably best not to message me. I prefer to date vegans--not saying a date with a meat eater is completely off the table, just not my preference.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I keep thinking that you should never ask a twenty-something what they do. Instead, "How are you working towards what you want to do?" makes much more sense to me.

I'm trying to discover a life.

Right now I'm involved in a ridiculous number of activities and will be starting graduate school in the fall to study art therapy. My most reliable day job is as an after school aide for a kid with autism.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Becoming good at things, making casual situations awkward, and pretty much anything physical that does not involve a ball.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is difficult. People used to first notice my "fuck off" attitude, but I've obliterated that and replaced it with a really friendly and open persona recently. It's a huge change for me, and one that I am very happy about.

So. . .my red hair and glasses?

Oh, and that there's a 50/50 chance that I may actually be upside down.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My favorite book is still one that I found at a library sale when I was nine or ten years old. It's Winter of Fire by Sheryll Jordan. It's about overcoming adversity and affirming your own identity. It also happens to be about labor reform and organizing.

Beyond that, I love classic sci-fi; specifically Isaac Asimov, Vonda N. McIntyre, and Ursula K. Le Guin (The Word for World is Forest, and The Dispossessed specifically). I also have a strange love of Kafka.

I'm a pretty big geek, so when it comes to shows and movies sci-fi always wins: Star Trek, BSG, Stargate, comic book movies, thrillers based off of classic sci-fi short stories, you get the picture.

Okay, so my knowledge of music is extremely limited, but there are a few groups that I know I enjoy: Nouvelle Vague, Bitter Sweet, Radiohead, Tool, Imogen Heap, Eluvitie, Lindsey Stirling, Depeche Mode, Death Cab for Cutie, Ministry, and Blue October. Really random looking list.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) a creative outlet
2) a physical outlet
3) chocolate
4) the ability to read
5) a functioning bike
6) yoga

I list these things, but Ive done without all of them at times in my life. You don't really need anything.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the nature of reality and dream
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Performing!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think I'm actually a pretty terrible person who happens to convince people that I'm not. No one agrees with that, so I don't know, maybe I'm just extra talented at hiding how terrible I am. Or maybe I really am a good person.

Oh, and I also have an insane urge to share things that should be kept private during casual conversation.

I woke up one morning with a song stuck in my head. I spent weeks writing the lyrics, and now I'm trying to learn to play the guitar in order to make that song real.
