My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! I'm Dan. I just moved to Chicago from Atlanta. Currently in grad school at the U of Chicago. Grew up in Ohio, born in South Carolina. I'm a skier, Cleveland sports fan, a Settler (of Catan, that is), a business-y person who would rather be an astronaut, and lots more. I use parentheses to excess when I write informally (as evident in this sentence and the rest of my profile). I do lots of stuff, as I'm sure many people do, but happy to go into more detail if you ask!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Generally a combination of sleeping and eating, with some other random stuff thrown in the mix.

Also in grad school.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Everything. Obviously.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get wrinkles around my eyes when I smile a lot.

Food: Thai, Mexican, Italian, Indian and most others too. Will never eat: pickles, mushrooms, olives, mustard, pork

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
You know that box at the bottom right of someone's Okcupid page that shows other users and comparisons (i.e. "Less adventurous" or "More kinky")? Well, I occasionally wonder what it says about me on other people's pages... more awesome? Less intelligent? More spiritual? I guess I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it, but it crosses my mind when I see that box on someone else's profile.

On that note, I'm pretty sure their algorithm is flawed. I swear I'm less aggressive and (slightly) more romantic than the rating suggests.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Shark Bar, Kaya with Frank Skeem, right on the floor is where you can find me

*No longer applicable since I'm no longer an ATLien*
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
While I don't believe in God, I hate to use the term "atheist". Atheist is defined as "a person who lacks belief in the existence of God or gods". Why should I tell you what I'm not? If someone asks me where I'm from, I don't respond "Well, I'm not from France". It just doesn't make sense. I'd rather be judged by what I am rather than what I'm not.

Sorry for the rant...

If you got the reference in my "On a typical Friday night I am" section without googling it.

Bonus points if you're Jewish and/or a little weird (not totally crazy, but just the right amount of weirdness).

Or if you're Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
