I'm an old-school librarian living in a technological world, which is not necessarily a bad thing, I think it just sort of encapsulates the life most of us are living: I love the smell of books and the feel of paper, but make my living on a keyboard and computer screen. So it goes.
So...what to say? I'm an amateur photographer, I like bad movies and good music, I like riding my bike to no place in particular. I'm an okay cook -- I can follow a recipe (and even make some adjustments as necessary) but tend to default to simple meals 'cause they're faster. Though I am trying to stretch out, cook more and more interesting foods. Sometimes my attempts make them, well, less interesting. Then I make a sandwich.
I like hiking and camping, photography, sitting in the sun reading and listening to music. I love travel. Going someplace new, meeting and talking with folk in the subway, at a bar, keeps my mind alive and my spirit happy.
Music is important to me. There are two kinds of music: good music and bad music. I love live music and weird music. I like checking out bands I've never heard of. I like music that makes you think, and music that grabs you and makes you move. I don't like music that merges into the background.
My friends are my family.
