My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My son & I choose to live with my family. We don't have to, or need to; we want to. I owned a home in a school district that I was not interested in living in any longer. Anyway... the market finally turned up, and I sold it. I suppose I could take my escrow-balance & start shopping for something more comfortable, in order to make myself more of a "catch". I don't see the point in doing that, since my son will most likely be going on with his adult life in the next six or seven years. Furthermore, I am proud of the fact I am in a position to be able to help my family. Anyone worth me changing anything in my life over right now would most-likely admire what I'm doing with it, and be patient and encouraging... why...? Because if you have to ask, stop reading now. I am fortunate to have a good relationship with them. I get it, that a lot of you don't enjoy the same sentiment with yours. I imagine it sucks. I am a single-father, and I have primary-custody. I watch him like a hawk. He's a good boy, & my greatest accomplishment. My son sees his mother every-other weekend, and for a few hours on Wednesdays. I divorced his mother over ten years ago, and I've had custody ever since. It's civil and cordial.

Let's change the subject, shall we? I enjoy life. I've chosen to be single since 2011. I'm taking my time, with my time. I've wised up in my old age, I suppose. I'm probably a Libertarian, if the actual definition still applies. I like my guns, my health insurance, and my cannabis. I don't care who marries who, and given the divorce rate; I think it's high-time we give someone else a go at it. We hetero folk obviously suck at it.
Today, I'm interested in possibly meeting some new friends. I've grown out of the "relationship hopscotch" game. If not for my son's stability, then for my own sanity. I primarily want some friends I can visit with, and enjoy activities with, outside of the office... Disc golf, billiards, conversation, mountain biking, dominoes, musical-collaboration, marksmanship, or etc. I'm posting here on the off-chance I might find people who might be interesting and interested. Sure, It'd be awesome to experience "butterflies" again. For the time-being, I'd be happy with some quality friendship. At some point I learned to live with little or no expectations of people or situations...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Being an awesome dad (My son tells me). Enjoying my career. Enjoying disc golf. Getting back to enjoying the things I once did, like music. Learning some new skills. Becoming a better shot. Not being concerned with what other people think of me, or what I'm doing with my life. Living & smiling (To the fullest, as often as possible).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening. Figuring things out. Guitar. Disc Golf. Being patient. Fixing that which is broken, when properly motivated.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really know, to be honest. My eyes, perhaps? Then again, people often mention my easy-going demeanor; or the fact I'm a little insane. ; P

I'm not much of a reader, though perhaps one day I'll take a liking to it. I don't have "favorites" with regard to movies, shows, music, & food... there is so much to enjoy in the world, and so little time to enjoy it. My SiriusXM & Spotify preferences look like they belong to several different people, if that makes sense. I will say this though... The old saying "they don't make them like they used to" certainly comes to mind on a regular basis... especially with regard to movies, shows, music, & food.
PS: I do love tech-house, old-school dub-reggae, 40"s swing, African Ju-Ju music, and ambient; to site a few genres. I like A Small Good Thing quite a bit. Harry Nilsson rules. I always thought "The Red Balloon" was one of the best films, ever. Johnny Suede is a fun movie as well.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life after my son grows up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Enjoying it, no matter what. It depends on the temperature outside.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a user account on this site and depending on how much I've had to drink, I'll visit this site. After that, I usually feel dirty, and I'll disable my profile for a month or so. I don't remember what affection is like anymore, and that bothers me.
