I'm a native San Diegan living in Chambana for grad school. I work in physics, but I also dabbled in journalism and music for awhile. I really like meeting new people, and I'm always trying to find some fun things to do around town.

Most days I'm spending time messing around in the lab, hanging out with friends, working out or learning to cook.

I'm out of practice these days, but for awhile I was a pretty good horn player. In undergrad I played two brass instruments and did some stuff for an African drumming ensemble.

I've always been a pretty skinny guy. I talk with my hands sometimes and I tend to like really bad jokes.

TV: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, Archer, Futurama, BSG, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Firefly, Game of Thrones

Music: My favorites shift around a lot, but I mostly like alternative bands like Radiohead, Muse, and whoever's playing on 107.1.

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Diner, Superbad, Inglourious Basterds, Memento, The Prestige, Inception, Blue Velvet, Finding Forrester, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

Books: The Count of Monte Cristo, Catcher in the Rye, Pablo Neruda's poems

Food: Burritos from hole-in-the-wall San Diego taco shops, Chicken Tikka Masala, stone bowl Bibimbap

Good food, good friends, good beer, good music and Netflix.

That's five things, I know.

If I'm free, I usually end up going out to visit the bars, hanging out at a friend's place or going out to see a show. To me it doesn't matter what I end up doing, as long as it gets me out of my house or my office

I have two birthdays.
