I have lived in Berkeley for almost 8 years now & I am an Architect by profession. I went to Texas A&M for the Graduate program in Architecture & lived in DC for 2 years before moving to Bay Area.
One quote from Nietzsche, which is very close to my heart, is “Rather perish than hate & fear.”
I love what I do & I see value in it. I am more into physics than any other part of science & that helps me enjoy my job. Because of Architecture I am exposed to a lot of visual medium of Art. I really value role of Art, Culture and Literature in life.
I am generally shy & quiet, but I talk once I warm up. I am easy going [I think] & I enjoy smaller and simpler moments. To an extent I am laid back but some part of me is also very energetic and disciplined. I think I have a sense of humor, more witty than sarcastic. Again, a lot of these characteristics come on the surface over time and not the first time I meet someone.
I am pursuing two hobbies: Photography & [learning] Jazz Guitar.
I enjoy philosophy & whenever I could, I read literature. I don’t watch TV, but I do enjoy good movies. I love hiking, camping & biking around the town on my fixie. Long walks are very meditative for me, either through woods or in and around the town. I am not a clubbing kind of person, but I do enjoy a good conversation over a drink.
My social life revolves around my friends. I have a bunch of friends here and whenever we get together, it’s either amateur tennis or a game/movie night. I like and enjoy simple things.
What I am looking for is a simple, down to earth person. She doesn’t need to be super intelligent or drop dead gorgeous. I value sensitivity, compassion & someone who’s consciously trying to live a righteous life.
For me relationships are about companionship & finding someone who can set the David within you free..
If I really like you, you might see my prankster side & BTW, Alcohol makes me goofy.
Of course not everything is rosy about me; I have my own set of weaknesses. Intent is to work on them and not deny their existence.
I don't like a lot of text messages/emails. I prefer talking in person [or at least on phone]. I like keeping things real & people/profiles on the internet makes things more abstract.
