I am clever, offbeat, and quirky.

My Self-Summary

Initially, I joined this site for the multitude of interesting quizes. But hey, it serves other purposes...

Lets see, I'm currently a college student studying environmental and soil science, and you know, trying to figure out what I want to do. Plus, I'm continually trying to find a way to explain that I'm studying dirt without receiving strange looks. I love being outside, whether it's in the mountains, the beach, or the desert-- even just sitting on rooftops is fine with me. I blame Oregon, it is too good of an environment to grow up in.

In my spare time I avidly read and am never without some sort of book when I leave home. I've recently acquired a taste for cooking and gardening (they nicely go hand in hand) and I try to cook as much food for friends as possible, even if they hate eggplant.

I'm a news junkie and if I've disappeared, I can usually be found wherever newspapers are located. Also, this problem has lead to an addiction to cross-word puzzles, but I still have to do the easy pop-culture ones. I'm not quite up to the New York Times standard, though the Eugene Weekly puzzle is perfect.

What else? Music and film, definatly. I can't stand silence, so music has become an integral part of my daily life (much to my roommate's dismay). Not to imply that I'm a music snob, I can listen to anything from rock to bluegrass to classical, but if someone whips out a Linkin Park cd, I will chuckle to myself. As far a movies go, I'll watch anything once, though I may critique it from start to finish. I love film and at this point it acts as an addiction.

Personality wise, I can get a bit cynical and sarcastic. Apparently, according to my friends I'm indefinable- I watch bull riding, hitch-hike, adore the game Pretty Pretty Princess, worship Iggy Pop, and christen 60's orange-vinyl medical lounge chairs.

Finally, I'm always up for an adventure. I like to live in the spur of the moment and would love to meet anyone with the same attitude.

What I’m doing with my life

Going to school, but basically nothing.

I’m really good at

Six degrees of Kevin Bacon, but I don't know why I'm proud of that.

The first things people usually notice about me

The odd mole centered directly in the middle of my chin. Though no one would ever say so...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Taking my cue from High Fidelity, I'll list a top five for each category.

A) 1. Slaughterhouse-Five 2. A Clockwork Orange 3. Choke 4. Invisible Cities 5. On the Road

B) 1. Trainspotting 2. On the Waterfront 3. Young Frankenstein 4. The Graduate 5. Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

C) 1. The Black Keys 2. White Rabbits 3. The Jam 4. Queens of the Stone Age 5. The Black Lips.

D) 1. Tacos! 2. Meatball Subs 3. Gingerbread Cookies 4. Fried Zucchini 5. Corn Fritters

The six things I could never do without

1. Great friends who understand my craziness.

2. A good book.

3. Coffee, besides the wonderfully satisfying taste, it provides me with enough caffeine to be a functioning member of society.

4. A pen- doodling is fun.

5. Sneakers for late night wanderings.

6. Music, without it my thoughts drift towards the crazy side.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Basic human interaction and the way we've been socialized to act.

The time space continuum.

Zombies.

How most of the great wonders were engineered. I mean just look at Machu Picchu, how did they accomplish that?

What I'm going to eat for dinner.

What hanging out with Michael Keaton would be like.

Theoretical conversations that I could have.

If conditions that night are favorable for stargazing.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out with friends, which usually consists of movies, a concert, driving around with no purpose, badminton or poker.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I cry every time I watch Edward Scissorhands and I love searching for free stuff on craigslist.

You should message me if

Any thing that I wrote above interests you remotely. Or you have a really neat beard...

If you message me, I will write you back, even if it's months later- you're warned.
