I am a girl. I have too many jobs. I have all my own teeth. I lean towards what are commonly described as "old man pubs". I am totally utterly obsessed with music, but I rarely go to live gigs any more - I tend to get one big summer festival fix. I watch music videos. I don't play computer games (but I don't hate them, just have no consoles). Good food matters an awful lot, cooking and consuming. And good drinking too. never forget that. I go to the cinema Quite A Lot, I wouldn't mind going more. I have too many friends, but I'm never going to be able to fix that. There are far worse problems to have. I like football. I'm quite lazy. I am a Londoner. One day I may well live in Glasgow again. Or maybe France. But not Paris, I don't really like Paris. Some elements of my various jobs are obsessions. I am a performer. and a show off. and a complete pillock. I live on the edge when it comes to use of CAPITAL LETTERS, but then if you've read this far, you may have worked that out already.

Freelance musician. I sing, I play double bass, I play ukulele, i teach singing. I should say I mostly sing opera, but that seems to bring out odd reactions in folk.

Eyes I guess. Predictable. They're blue. Although since I hit the bottle I am extremely (as opposed to natuarally) blonde...

I like books, movies, music and food.

Right now I am working my way through novels by Rex Stout featuring the tremendous gourmand & sleuth, Nero Wolfe.

Films: Isn't going to the cinema brilliant? I go a lot, frequently on my own, and I'll sit through just about anything. I'm not big on what Hollywood seems to think is funny these days (laughs have come from In The Loop, In Bruges, Teeth and the like), I think it's something to do with my precise age but I love the work of Robert Rodriguez - Machete was briliant, for example. I cry at films, hopelessly. Pretty much regardless of genre.

music would take forever. If it involves: Opera, singing, disco, ukulele, banjo, rapping, bluegrass, country, hip-hop, good dancing, ridiculous costumes, heart & soul, anger, new ideas or any combination of the above, I am probably going mental down the front.

mushrooms can f*ck right off. other than that I am a genuine foodie. That said I ate some intentionally mis-pronounced shitake mushrooms the other day, and they were alright. I am on a mission to like mushrooms.

my weeks aren't structured around needing to let my hair down on a Friday night. But a lot of my friends' weeks are, so I may well be assisting with that.
