I'm looking for new experiences. Life is too short to limit yourself. I want to live life to its fullest, and enjoy as much of it as I can.
I spend a lot of time soaking up useless facts. During most conversations you will hear me say, "I was reading about..." at least once. Ironically, I rarely read books. My mind tends to wander and I've ended up abandoning a plethora of fantastic books halfway through because I read and reread four times as many pages as the book actually had in it. Articles and journals are more my speed since it allows me to drift and change topics on a whim. The visual stimulation of graphic novels and comic books also helps since it combines small snippets of stories with my profound appreciation for art of all shapes and sizes. My office and apartment are littered with sketches, sculptures, paintings and pictures that I've collected over the years.
I tend to have strong opinions that I've formed after careful consideration. I rarely take sides in an argument that I don't know much about, and am not afraid to say when I'm ignorant about something. And because I have such strong opinions, I love to debate. I'm very fact-oriented and am fascinated when I run into someone who can clearly articulate an opposing viewpoint.
I love video games and board games and play them frequently because they simultaneously satisfy my desires for competition and mental stimulation. I'm game for anything that requires strategy, although sometimes it's fun to run around and mindlessly shoot zombies.
I'm also a genuinely happy person who is cynical and sarcastic. "It is what it is" is my motto and favourite saying in the world because it's both incredibly simple and straight forward, but deceptively profound. People tend to see things in terms of how they think they should be or how they wish them to be. Life becomes so much simpler and more manageable when you accept things for what they are and make allowances for things that will never change. So that allows me to focus on my own happiness (because what else in life is more important than happiness?) in what can be a very cruel and unforgiving world.
I also enjoy bubbles and laugh at fart jokes. Because sometimes being an adult just isn't as much fun.
