I am open-minded, creative, and adventurous.

My Self-Summary

I'm a fun-loving free spirit and music lover who values her passions and dreams over money and stability...although living paycheck to paycheck isn't my first choice either ;) I drive a jeep (standard)...I enjoy making music as much as going to shows - indie rock (for lack of a better term) is my favorite. I'm a girl of all seasons - I enjoy camping, hiking and snowboarding. Love being physical - running, yoga. Dining and red wine. I enjoy cooking and entertaining for friends...and endless drinks with friends. Things I want to do someday: travel to Australia, make a real album. Things I've dreamed about doing since I was a kid: fly a plane, help the unfortunate. I'm big on culture, adventure, education and living life to the fullest.

What I’m doing with my life

doing my best to enjoy it! I work in radio and also juggle various extra gigs on the side (webcasting, marketing, event planning, music and acting). I am striving to put a band together. I love seeing other places, be it on a weekend getaway a mere few hours from my house or half-way across the world. Two of the best weeks of my life were spent traveling through Europe and I am planning on visiting Korea next year. My friends and family mean the most to me...so the highlights of my life are good times with them. I suppose I suffer from the college-minded ideal to make a difference in this world...what exactly that may be...I am still trying to figure out...I try to read as much as I can, as it stimulates the mind...

I’m really good at

listening, maintaining my focus and going after what I want, letting things go when necessary , not taking things too seriously, multi-tasking, engaging in ridiculously long conversations about music, playing music (or trying), singing (I was once a voice major), snow-boarding (ok, well, intermediate), cooking, gardening, yoga (again, intermediate), BBQing, mixing a mean cocktail...

The first things people usually notice about me

my laugh, my hair, that I'm easy-going, a good sense of humor, that I'm responsible but don't take things too seriously, a strange ability to function off of little sleep, my habit of singing a lot, a slight sarcasm (that I think is obviously sarcasm) that people often take seriously when they first meet me...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

books = last book I read was the Kiterunner...2nd to last the Catcher in the Rye...

movies = Star Wars (original 3), Big Lebowski, Airplane, Office Space, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Donny Darko...most recently Slumdog Millionaire

music = Radiohead, Pixies, Dandy Warhols, Arcade Fire, Cold War Kids, Blur, Beta Band, David Bowie, Roxy Music, the Stones, Beatles, the Cure, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Air, Band of Horses, Beastie Boys, Beck, Bjork, Cake, Clash, Daft Punk, Death Cab for Cutie, Elliot Smith, Fleet Foxes, Gary Numan, Gorillaz, Hot Chip, Interpol, Joy Division, Justice, Killers, the Faint, Cloud Cult, the Kinks, the Knife, Kula Shaker, LCD Soundsystem, Massive Attack, MGMT, Smiths, Muse, Nada Surf, Neil Young, New Order, NIN, Nirvana, Oasis, Pete Yorn, Peter Bjorn & John, Pink Floyd, Portishead, REM, Raconteurs, White Stripes, Ramones, the Rapture, Shins, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Cut Copy, Spoon, Stereolab, Strokes, Supergrass, Talking Heads, Vampire Weekend, Buzzcocks, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, St Vincent

food = sushi, indian, anything with cheese

The six things I could never do without

music, my health, my friends & family, my freedom, the beach, a good glass of wine

I spend a lot of time thinking about

whether I'm living the life that I should (I usually think so, but it's only human to have doubts), those I care about who are going through tough times, the tribulations that I have been through in the past and what their significance is

On a typical Friday night I am

out and about with friends, catching live music somewhere perhaps...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

it takes a lot for someone to do it for me...but once they do, I can fall hard...

You should message me if

you are passionate about life and want to get together to see if we click...and are looking for sometime to have fun with...that could hopefully lead to more ;)
