You can view a TON of pictures I've taken since I left November 7th, 2012 on my Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/mattrmedia
Up until recently I only really considered someone local. After seeing so many countries, cities, and towns, I'm very open to the idea of meeting anyone that's a potential match. That person just needs to understand that I do travel for work, and I'm generally gone for six months at a time and back for two. I have internet and phone service, but it doesn't make for the most ideal relationship situation. If you think you can live with that, then feel free to reach out. I'm an open door and I'm willing to discuss anything/everything.
I do lots of things. I’m certified in several areas computer/technology related, I’m a musician who can play several instruments (e.g. saxophone, drums, re-learning the piano and trumpet right now), I’m a lighting designer for concerts and special events, I’m a very capable driver (I can back large trucks into tiny tiny spaces), and I’m currently a software developer for my own company by trade.
I don’t have the widest variety when it comes to a taste for foods. It’s unfortunate, since it tends to clash with my love for traveling. Speaking of traveling, I’ve been on 18 cruises thus far. I’ve been all over the caribbean and parts of South and Central America. I’ve also been all over New York and to Boston.
As far as music is concerned, I tend to listen to various forms of Rock over anything else, although there will always be a soft spot for old school hip hop and certain recent hip hop groups like the Soliloquists of Sound. Progressive Rock is my primary preference. Groups such as Pink Floyd, Rush, Dream Theater, anything Neal Morse related, Porcupine Tree, etc... are bands I can listen to endlessly. The Black Keys, the Arctic Monkeys, Dave Matthews, Moe, Lamb of God, Nevermore, Royksopp, etc... are some other various bands that fit into a variety of genres I also listen to.
As a lighting technician I’ve ended up working all over Florida and the Keys. It’s an insanely fun job once you get passed the back breaking hard physical labor when you don’t have the luxury of union workers doing the hard work for you. I’ve done work for Earth Wind & Fire, The Plain White T’s, The Last Goodnight, Vanessa Carlton, Colby Cailiat, Mary Wilson, The Spinners, Ingrid Michaelson, Less Than Jake, Arrested Development (the band), and an ungodly amount of other bands: Almost 600 in total. I’m sure I’m missing some national acts in there, but that’s alright. No, I don’t meet the bands 95% of the time. I do that by choice. Yes, I can get you into shows. But no, I won’t :)
