My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Originally hailing from the snowy west(ern NY), I moved to Massachusetts with a cat in tow after graduating university. I planned on only staying in the area for a couple years but the knowledge, varied cultures, and east coast attitude of Boston and Somerbridge grew on me. I do miss the wilderness though and when I own a house there will be many fruit-bearing plants.

I have a "Can I make this funny?" filter between my ears and brain that leads me to crack jokes, although I can turn it off in serious or formal situations. I find other points of views to be valuable and worth thinking about and try to understand them the best I can. I try to be mindful of myself and not negatively impact those around me in even small ways.

Some activities I enjoy doing:
eating new food, bowling, golf, mini golf, camping, watching movies/tv, playing video games, going to comedy clubs, and going out with friends. I'd like to travel abroad more, but haven't really done it much yet...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying my new job that is more research oriented than my previous one. Occasionally attempting to play piano after failing miserably as a child. Playing DDR to stay healthy. Toying with circuitry. Some gardening. Pondering how to decorate my apartment. Playing with a high tech glue gun.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh if I am in a situation that I can poke fun at. Doing things with computers and electronics in general. Flitch games like whack-a-mole. Making inflatable origami balls.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies: My favorite genres are probably science fiction, comedy, romance, horror, psychological thrillers. A couple of my favorites are A Tale of Two Sisters, Day After tomorrow, Sweeney Todd, Phantom of The Opera, Iron Man, Shaun of the Dead, Donnie Darko, Resident Evil, Batman Begins, Coraline, Tokyo Sonata, and Wristcutters. I'm not a huge critic, so I'm pretty easy to please as long as the movie has an interesting plot.

TV: I have accumulated a fair number of shows I like to watch. Some of my favorites are American Horror Story, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Doctor Who, Lost, Mad Men, Peep Show, Rick and Morty, Shameless, Supernatural, Walking Dead. Boy Meets World was one of my favorite shows as a kid.

Music: I like all kinds of music genres. Some of my favorites are symphonic metal and classical. Some of the stuff I enjoy is Apocalyptica, Chopin, Evanescence, Nightwish, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, and Within Temptation.

Books: Atlas Shrugged (extreme but thought provoking, so don't judge!!), a biography on Howard Hughes (what a fascinating man...) The Origin Mystery series, Silo Saga series, and Snow Crash.

Foods: I like to eat a decent variety of food types, and there are few things I really dislike. Thai food, Chinese food, Indian food, sushi, and Mexican food are frequents for eating out and delivery. Cheese, fruit (especially raspberries), sorbet, frozen lemonade, smoothies, iced coffee, rosemary, and spicy food are also often consumed.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'd have to say companionship, the unexpected, the internet, hot showers, cold beverages, and some sort of mobile computer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, current issues, the future, the present. How the most insignificant arbitrary things can impact one's life. The electromagnetic spectrum.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually watching a movie or playing games or something like that. Maybe out with friends. I love exploring Boston if I have a partner in non-crime (ok, maybe some possible violations if it is really cool....)

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
This is such an awkward section. I could list what I'm looking for or say how awesome I supposedly am, but isn't that something people need to discover directly? If you read this far you are at least curious.... So if you're ultimately looking for something long term and have gotten this far, message me.
