I am back to doing graphic design for a living....no, not the company that i quit. A company i used to work for contacted me out of the blue and offered me a position that i could not turn down. I forgot how much I enjoy it.(<--nerd). I've been spending the majority of my new found "free time" creating art, catching up with friends and hitting up shows. The art career is building steam and a teaching career is still in the works. I'd have to say it has been a great year.
Update:(mid 2011/1212)
I recently quit my design job to pursue my art/teaching career. Everyone should quit a job (with absolutely no notice) at least once. It is very liberating. In the interim, I am working second shift for a friends company. It took some getting used to, but is starting to pay off. So, needless to say, if you see that I have been to you page at an odd hour, I am most likely using my phone to slack at work and not being a creep. Of course, on here creepiness is always left up to interpretation.
I'm just an artist looking for my muse. That said, I like to think of myself as an intelligent and creative person who enjoys a good time with better company. There is nothing more enjoyable than a good conversation, regardless of subject matter.
I grew up in a small town in central IL but have lived in St. Louis for 9 years now. I love the city. So much so, I've moved 7 times and never left the metro area. What can I say, I like to see new things. I currently reside in The Grove, and am loving it.
I travel whenever I get a chance, and would do it full time if I had my way.
