My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am new to the Bay Area and trying to meet new people and get into new adventures. I just finished grad school in Santa Barbara in engineering. I love live music and it is hard to find me without earbuds in my ears. I like to volunteer for science outreach activities and habitat for humanity. I like to experiment in the kitchen and am always open to trying something at least once. I have a very active lifestyle, love running everywhere, and am always looking for new tennis partners. It is important to me to find a Mrs. Right because I believe that the world is such an amazing place, but it feels like a waste to go through it alone. Our experiences have so much more meaning when they are shared and there is nothing more beautiful than the connections we can form through that shared experience.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm trying to save the world. I am also trying to enjoy every little moment of my little life on it. That means developing meaningful relationships with the people around me and helping them to become better people as I grow and change towards that same end. The backdrop of these activities is working on new cool materials for energy efficiency. I really love to see my work in the engineering profession being put to practical use to make the lives of others better.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Seeing the fine details. I am also really good at playing devil's advocate, but I try to keep myself in check. I know a lot about a great many subjects and I am always looking to learn more. I love exploring things and like to solve problems. Social justice is also really important to me and I try to keep it in mind in any decision I make. I also give good advice.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think people notice that I am not afraid to speak my mind. I am very honest and don't hesitate to give my opinion on whatever catches my attention. I am usually good at knowing when not to speak, but I am more willing to say what some people don't necessarily want to hear at first. I have found that most of the time people appreciate my straightforward approach, because they know regardless of what the uncomfortable truth may be I am also there to support them in coping or adapting to it.
