I'm a friendly guy with a giant friendly dog. I'm on okcupid to maybe meet someone new and to branch out a little. You can never have too many friends.

I don't hold on to many traditional beliefs that most of us were raised with or around. I find too many of then are dated practices that only end up in conflict with modern society. Religion, racism, sexism, war, xenophobia....are obsolete in my book. I'm liberal leaning, but nothing annoys me more than a super liberal. You have to be realistic.

I am the adventurous type. As far as I know, I'll live only once. I never want to look back upon my life and regret not doing something.

I have my shit together. I've worked for the same small company for the past eight years, own a home, max out my Roth IRA every year, have no consumer debt, and am pretty darn responsible.

I hang out with friends a lot, usually a couple nights during the week, and sometimes all weekend.

I work on my car(s) a lot, I'm an active BMW car club member and attend monthly meetings and social events. I do a lot of home improvement projects, and always have one going. I'm also into hi fi audio and vinyl, and build speakers and amps, kinda geeky...kinda nerdy

Driving. I'll drive 15 hours home from a trip and one of the first things I'll do is hop into one of my other cars and take it for a spin.

All things mechanical, I'm like engineer and mechanic rolled into one. I can fix anything. I've been compared to McGyver...you might call me a Zack of all trades.....ha.

Lame jokes (see above), sarcasm, logic, problem solving, visualizing, and getting things done are a few strong points. I'm a decent cook, but I don't normally cook for just myself, I like to enjoy the fruits of my labor with friends.

I'm quiet, and kind of shy, especially when I'm around someone I find attractive. I can't hit on women, it makes me feel like a sleaze. After a conversation is started I'm ok though.

I like books about technical stuff, ones with lots of engineering data, charts, graphs, and diagrams. Shop manuals and the like.

I like most music, indie, rock, electro, classical, as long as it is recorded well I'll give it a listen at least once. Favorites lately are: Sonic Youth (all time), Dinosaur Jr, Bat for Lashes, St. Vincent, M83, Hole, Zeke, The Coathangers, Daft Punk, Black Flag, TSOL, MGMT, Pixies,Garbage, Joanna Newsom, Coco Rosie, Metric, Sufjan Stevens, Silver Jews, Sea Sick Steve...I could go on and on. I spend a lot of time listening to KDHX.

I love to go see local indie bands in So City, @ Pig Slop, El Lenador, Bolo Zone...love the Little Big Bangs, Navigator, Bunny Grunt...

I like most movies, clever indie films, horror, comedy, etc. My Favorites are (random): Edward Scissorhands, A Clockwork Orange, Pink Flamingos, Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, American Splendor, Senna, Cemetery Man, Anti-Christ, Trainspotting, The Right Stuff, Night of the Living Dead...

I'll eat just about anything, and I make meals out of odd things. Lunch yesterday was smoked herring on multigrain crackers with chili garlic sauce and schlafly kolsch... I love ethnic food, authentic mexican and indian are some of my faves. BBQ is hard to pass up, and the best hamburgers I've ever had are the ones I make myself.

Hanging out with friends, maybe find a new place to eat at, or if it's been a busy day I may walk the dog and relax at home. More than likely enjoying a microbrew.

I've read the Harry Potter series and I see all the movies.
