I was born and raised a hippy, looking for love in all the wrong places. I am an intensely incurable romantic. I'm attracted to a lot of different types of people, but it wouldn't hurt if you were tall dark and androgynous, and/or an FTM.

I am the epitome of potential. I enjoy picking people apart in my head, but it's only in good nature, and I always put them back together when i'm done. I'm pretty convinced that clowns eat souls. No, seriously...they terrify me.

I spend far too much time in the desert climbing rocks, and going on unplanned roadtrips. My dog would tell you that I'm a good listener, a bad dancer, and a sometimes overly zealous hiker... but I do give good tummy rubs. I'm a sucker for loud music, really anything I can dance naked to. You could probably talk me into buying a Disney sound track, and further barter me into dancing and singing to it. You actually probably wouldn't have to barter at all.

I'm originally from Kansas City, I moved to Phoenix in the fall of '07 to restart things.

I love traveling, and I'm usually happiest when I'm somewhere I've never been. I'm fortunate enough to have been able to visit a lot of places that most people will never go, and I don't take it for granted.

I get mistaken for being distant and withdrawn a lot, but really I'm just painfully shy when you first meet me. I'm really loud, outgoing, and slightly opinionated once you get to know me though.

Living, duh. If I sat on my ass and waited for something amazing to happen, I'd miss everything. In the meantime, my pass times include twirling, napping, exploring, homeworking, swimming, dog sitting, baby sitting, rocking out in my car, and being fabulous.

I also teach preschool. I'm in love with my job, four year olds in particular are so much more genuine than most adults that I know. Then again, I would be concerned if any of the adults that I know began acting like my four year olds.

I'm an ex graphic design/art history major, hence the geeky artist syndrome. Right now I'm trying to finish a Communication degree and hopefully get into public relations, followed by a Masters in Advocacy and Social Justice. I'm heavily involved with Amnesty International at school right now, also working on an internship of sorts with the International Rescue Committee. The Human Rights Campaign is another one I've done some work/writing for, and can prattle on about at length if given half a chance. Hopefully after another 4-5 years of school one of the aforementioned organizations will see fit to actually employ me for what I do.

Something you should know about me, I will change the world.

Running circles around the apathetic camp in government class. Convincing people why Labyrinth was the best movie EVER.

Is usually that I'm staring at them. I do that a lot...it's a bad habit. Also, I tend to burst out in laughter at inapropriate moments...Sometimes while i'm staring. If you're at my house, you'll probably also be lucky enough to notice the snake perpetually hanging around my neck, and the golden lab that I'm constantly chatting with. I'm all about my animals, so it would be great if you're at least tolerant of them.

Currently reading Lamb, and Affinity. Oryx and Crake, The Weetzie Bat books, and Go Ask Alice are also favorites. Anything by Frank McCourt, Francesca Lia Block, Sarah Waters, or Gregory McGuire.

Music: I'm really into German reggae and hip hop lately. Rehab, OPM, 311, Kottonmouth Kings, Tech N9ne, The Distillers, Bitch and Animal, Placebo, Ani, Bif Naked, DJ Tiesto, Garbage, La Rissa, Santana, AFI, Tiger Army, Miss Jane, Kill Hannah, Kidney Thieves, Joydrop, Zombie Nation, Sublime, The Vines, Norah Jones, THC, A perfect Circle, Bob Marley, Grateful Dead, HorrorPops, The Bouncing Souls, and Incubus.

I like food... a lot. Thai food, tomato soup, and peanut butter are all favorites. I don't really like red meat or pork. It's not that I'm terribly morally opposed to it, or that i'm strictly vegetarian, I just don't really like meat.

Sex is nice, and cuddles are better, but tea is the shit. I would probably sit down in a corner and commence rocking without my constantly shifting ipod library. My car is a necessity, it takes me places that I've never been. Also, I would be greatly distressed if Whole Foods suddenly ceased to exist.

You are so inclined. However, under no circumstances are you to ask if I'm interested in a quick hookup, or a threesome with your boyfriend. I'm looking for friends, fellow documentary enthusiasts, and partners in crime. It would help if you dig animals, long car rides, invader zim, and are 420 friendly. So if you like breakfast for dinner along with cynicism, wit, reggae and politics, I might be your new best friend.
