I'll have to give this some more thought. In short, I'm an easy going sort that tends toward mind-based activities. I currently earn my wage as a Software Engineer, but have also earned coin as a musician and soldier (not simultaneously). Academically, I've studied fields including Computer Science, Music, Arabic, International Relations and Religion (wish I had time for Physics). I love to share and discuss ideas, even debate at times, but I'm averse to arguments. I'm reasonably athletic, but my days as a wing in Rugby are over. I now speed walk and run (and am really interested in getting into Yoga or Taijichuan). I keep pretty busy at work much of the time, enjoy hanging out with friends reasonably often.

I'm waiting patiently to see if my secondary employer will send me to a job in Cairo, Egypt. That said, the current turn of the economy has made the chances of this working out any time soon rather remote.

I'm currently working on solidifying the software engineering process at my primary job. I'm also using the chance to pick up a bunch of other skills that I've wanted to acquire for some time.

In my spare time I still piddle with music (primarily guitar), am in the middle of 5 books, hang out with my kids as much as possible, and am working on my second undergraduate degree.

I'm pretty good at a number of things...making software, cooking, some strategy games, learning new things, philosophical ruminations, etc.

Hmmm, not sure. I'll have to ask sometime. Probably my insatiable curiosity.

Food: Lately I've had a thing for Persian cuisine (esp. a rosewater ice cream at a local restaurant), Swiss fondue, Tex-Mex.

Music: Too many genres to count...lately been listening to stuff like Sufjan Stevens, Kate Bush, P.O.S., Regina Spektor, Beefy, Muse, Hieroglyphics, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beck, Cake, Gogol Bordello, Girl in a Coma, Pixies, Shellac, Led Zeppelin, The Benjamin Gate, Radiohead, ytcracker/spamtec, Buena Vista Social Club, Manu Chau, Lords of the Rhyme, Skillet, M.C. Chris, M.C. PLUS+, M.C. Router (she sounds like M.C. Chris), Terp 2 It, Optimus Rhyme, Thin Lizzy, Ofra Haza, Stravinsky, DeBussy, Verdi and Purcell (namely Dido and Aeneas...the only worthwhile opera in English).

Movies: Band of Brothers, PI, Raising Arizona, Joyeux Noël, Office Space, Army of Darkness, Gallipoli, Adrift on the Nile, bunch of others.

Books: Les Miserables (unabridged), Ender's Game, Sun Tsu's Art of War, Children of the Alley, Democracy in America, If Chins Could Kill, much of Noam Chomsky's stuff, the Communist Manifesto, my entire Great Books of the Western World collection (esp. volumes with Kant, Hegel, and Pascal).

Current events, novel approaches to my work, how I wish I had more leisure time, my children and their futures, whether I've accurately assessed my personality type, self-optimization (okay, call it self-help if you will), the meaning of life, the universe and everything.

Hanging out with friends and family, reading a book, or seeking entertainment. When I'm less lucky I'm working...sad times.

I restarted a new profile and abandoned the old in an attempt to assure myself that I'm consistent in my responses to questions and quizzes...either that or the embarrassing fact that I love the musical Grease..or that I really like Nerdcore hip-hop (Nerdcore for Life!).

...you want to for one. I'm also interested in finding a workout (primarily yoga, jogging or running) partner if possible. If we have shared intellectual interests a trip to a coffee shop may be nice too. Oh, and you should be tolerant of INTPs (assuming you give credence to the Meyers-Briggs typology).
