My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Want some cake?

So I was walking down the street, minding my own business, when unexpectedly I get hit with an idea. Why not advertise on the web for women, but instead of the normal tantalizing (boring) things guys put in their profiles, why don't I use food?

Of all of the wonderful ideas I've ever had, this has to be the best one. But where does one advertise for them like this?

Craigslist seemed like the best idea. But it lacked a certain something. It has no panache, if you will.

So, okcupid it is.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm an average guy, with an average life, with an average wife. Yes, you've read that properly.

So why look for women? What kind of guy does that?

I suppose it's a long story, and probably one best relayed through a phone call, texts, or email. The synopsis is that we don't really believe in monogamy, but we really do love one another. So, we both date people. You can meet the wife if you like. We have progressed to become fully open and polyamorous.

So what am I looking for? Open-minded people who want an intelligent person to have fun with. What does fun mean to me? Dates, companionship, friendship, whatever comes. I have no expectations, but plenty of desires. I'm smart, and interested in a lot of different things, and have a lot of great stories. One of the things dating people while married brings is amazing and hilarious stories. Even if you just get in touch with me to talk about those, I guarantee that you'll enjoy.

I did mention cake. It would be terrible to be a tease and not follow through. If we meet and hit it off, I will bake you a cake of your choice. We can sit and eat it together, if you like. Your choice.

PS: Why don't I have a profile picture, you ask? Because while I am cool with being open like this, and my wife is cool with it, I work in a very white collar environment that might not be as accepting of alternative lifestyles like this. I have many pictures and can send them to you via email or text, your choice.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a man with a career, not a job, as well as a wife and family.

That said, we have a deep seated belief that monogamy is not the natural state of humans. We have an open relationship, but that doesn't mean that I will not have discretion for you, or won't respect you.

What am I doing with my life? I'm advancing my career, being with my wife and family, and finding others to connect with. I fully believe that different people can help fulfill different needs in others.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm great at getting lost. I seem to have a knack for it, and get lost soooo easily. I'm also great conversationally, I can talk on any number of subjects. Ok, here's where I admit: I'm a huge nerd. I'm great at technology.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love nearly anything HBO. Game of Thrones, Sopranos, Deadwood, etc.

I don't have a lot of time to read anymore, because I have a large number of activities that stop me from being able to do so these days. That said, I do enjoy an audiobook from time to time. The last one that I enjoyed was 'Gone Girl'. It just felt very 'fresh'.

I love all sorts of music - it really is the theme of my life. It's where I turn when I need comfort, or to get my aggressions out. My first child was named after music, naturally. Right now I've taken a turn for more aggressive music, but I love indie music as well. I can find in any genre something to like, generally speaking.

Except for smooth jazz. Because really, smooth jazz?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My wife and family - they are my core, where my heart lives
2) My friends - I lived a long time without many friends, it's not healthy.
3) My iPhone - I am a tremendous tech geek, and the apple iphone is perhaps the most "personal" of personal computers.
4) Music - Without music in my life I would be terribly unhappy. I use music to imprint events and people in my life.
5) A fulfilling job - I don't like to do the same thing over and over again. I like to be challenged. My favorite part of my job is that I get to take problems that don't have a predefined solution and define those.
6) Technology in general - I truly believe that technology is the answer to many problems. With the right technology to enable us, we can become better people.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Right now I spend a lot of time thinking about open relationships and polyamory. Where do societal norms end, and where can true harmony be found?

I also spend a lot of time thinking about technology. I'm one of those guys that, to relax at night, reads tech news sites and tech blogs to unwind from a day at the office.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On a date of some type. Either with my wife, or with one of my others.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I love lady gaga un-ironically.
