My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am an extremely empathetic person and I always try look for the good in everyone by trying to understand where they are coming from, even if I disagree with them fundamentally. I am inquisitive by nature, and intellectual curiosity is an important trait for me, as all my relationships, romantic or otherwise, have been rooted in being able to share deep conversations and gain insight from others. I am most passionate about music—I produce and DJ house and techno, and play guitar, bass and drums. I am also really into good food, and I love trying new food/restaurants, and learning to cook new things. I am very politically passionate and vocal, especially regarding the struggle for full equality for all people (I could accurately be described as a feminist, a 'radical egalitarian' and a democratic socialist). I spend most of my free time reading (spending way more time on political and music blogs, and Reddit, than I probably should), chilling with friends, playing video games, or making music. I also love to go to concerts or clubs, and I'm always down to check out live music of any kind.

INTP if you're into that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just graduated from Syracuse with a B.S. in psychology/neuroscience, and now I'm figuring out what I want to do next. I figure now is the best moment in my life to take some time and try out different things to see what I like, so that's what I plan on doing for a bit. I did a semester abroad in London, and I'd love to go back at some point as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making music, DJ-ing, swimming, writing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, and that I can read and analyze people extremely well without having known them for very long; also, if they're meeting me drunk, the occasional Marxist diatribe.

Music: I have far ranging tastes and collect music almost as a hobby, so you'd be hard pressed to find music I really didn't like, but I am particularly into deep house, techno and nu-disco right now.

Just picking some artists at random from what I've been listening to recently: Dusky, Justin Martin, Hot Since 82, Shadow Child, Sasha, MK, Disclosure, Maya Jane Coles, Dubfire, RAC, The Magician, Moonboots, Waze & Odyssey, Daft Punk, Zed Bias, El-B, Joris Voorn.

Besides that I love Radiohead, The Shins, Elliott Smith, RJD2, DJ Shadow, Boards of Canada, Lotus, Disco Biscuits, The Smiths, Parliament-Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Aphex Twin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Black Sabbath, and a lot more.

TV: Arrested Development, Broad City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, House of Cards, Breaking Bad, The Wire, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Girls, Portlandia, and Anthony Bourdain.

Books: Hunter S. Thompson is one of my heroes. Some of my favorite authors: Friedrich Nietzsche

, Michel Foucault

Fyodor Dostoevsky

, Aldous Huxley
Kurt Vonnegut, George Orwell

, Richard Dawkins

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

J.R.R Tolkein

Food: I'll literally try anything once, but Korean, French, and Japanese are probably my top 3 favorites cuisines.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The meaning of life mainly, how to effectively enact social change, how to redefine gender roles, the future of humanity...also food.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either checking out live music or a club if someone good is playing, or, more likely, watching Netflix and ordering from Seamless.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I am a lot more silly, fun, and relaxed than this profile makes it seem; I'm good at formal writing but find it difficult to sound casual when writing for some reason. In reality, I try not to take myself too seriously and I'm usually just looking to have a good time. Also, the personality tab bar graph on my profile is scarily accurate.
