My self-summary Propose an edit

First, I actually have a real job, and have been there for over eight years. I am a homeowner. I drive a truck, because I sometimes need to have a truck for things. I don't own a boat yet, but it is on the near term list of things to acquire.

I love to fish. If I could afford to retire, I would fish just about every day. I also hunt and target shoot. These things are relaxing to me, and though hunting isn't for everyone, shooting should be experienced by most.

I am still a kid at heart, and one area this manifests itself is legos. I have them, I still buy them, and I still build stuff with them. I love kids, and enjoy taking my nephew and some of my friends' kids fishing, and look forward to my nieces being old enough to take along as well.

Kids and animals like me. Usually. I have three cats, and have plans to acquire a dog. When I get one, I will be a happier man. A household can never quite be complete without a dog.

I golf--sort of. I enjoy the game, but am in no way good at it. I also dabble in other recreational activities such as inline skating (trail and hockey), hockey in wintertime (boot and skate), and random pickup games where they are found.

I read a lot. I enjoy most types of music and movies.

I am a rather capable guy. I can fix many things that break, and am competent with most home projects, whether they be replacing light fixtures or electrical wiring, or recovering data from a crashed hard drive. If I don't know how to do something, I generally will try to learn.

I don't do stress. I have figured out a way to manage nearly all of my stress to the point of not really ever stressing about anything. I absolutely refuse to worry too much about little things.

Oh, and I am also politically aware, and conservative.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Working, paying bills, looking forward to buying a boat. I am looking for someone to enjoy life with me on some level. Going fishing, or cuddling on the couch. I don't know exactly where things may or may not lead, so I'm not looking long term right away.

I have a lazy eye. My eyes don't always point in the same direction, but rest assured, I can see just fine. In fact, my peripheral vision is better than most. This trait will bother you considerably more than it bothers me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Books: History, politics, military, intrigue novels, mysteries, and humor.

Movies: Blazing Saddles, Kevin Smith movies, MiB, Van Wilder, American Pie, other nonsense.

Music: Folk, country, metal, 80s, rock, rap, pop, techno, new age, classical, oldies, and most recently, symphonic goth metal.

Food: I am a rather picky eater, but that sounds so much better when I refer to myself as a "meat and potatos" kind of guy. Also, pizza. In reference to hunting, if I have a successful hunt, unless I'm hunting varmints, whatever is harvested is eaten--eventually, if not immediately.

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

Music, guns, fishing, affection, family, legos. I would get into Maslow here, but I find that to be not in the spirit of this profile.
