My self-summary
As I’m sure you’ve noticed from my photos, I exude the mystery and swagger of a movie star, wry detachment and a passionate sense of cool. That’s not to say I’m without kindness, sensitivity and down-to-earth good graces. Just kidding.
What I’m doing with my life
I used to mess with numbers on computers all day long. Now I've left my technology work in the city to go get me some more learning. Getting degrees in law and business in New Haven (just a couple months to go) while living the other half of my life in New York, working at a hedge fund. (I'm at my Brooklyn place all week except Monday through Wednesday.) Also just co-founded a technology firm.
I’m really good at
Making machines dance. Procrastinating. New York.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Kundera, Dostoevsky, David Foster Wallace (R.I.P.), and all the greats. And if anyone's ever read "Moscow to the End of the Line," let me know. Philip Roth and Saul Bellow are pretty near and dear. Hopscotch, by Cortazar. These days I'm ambivalent about Shteyngart. But I'll read anything by Nabokov.

Movies: Bergman or Tarkovsky (Solaris, Andrei Rublyev...). Netflix has a ton of Bergman on instant right now so it's a deep well to draw from - I can't stop. All-time favorite just might be Noah Baumbach's "Kicking and Screaming." Not really, but I've seen it a whole lot of times.

Music: standard indie canon, heavy 90s bent. Yo La Tengo, Pavement, Archers of Loaf, Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth. At the end of the day, my favorite bands are still the Cure and My Bloody Valentine. The Kills I like, too. Oh, and Nadja: Canadian ambient doom metal, anyone? I used to go to the All Tomorrow's Parties festivals on those years when I can and hang with the aging 90s indie rockers. But they don't really do those anymore.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, economics, technology, and rock n' roll.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I grew up being told that girls' knees are taboo.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–29
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
You're extraordinary.

Or you like bourbon.

I’m looking for someone with all the usual good qualities; humor, kindness, intelligence, and hopefully a dash of rock and roll seasoning.
