My self-summary
Why did view your profile and didn't contact you or when we were a horrible match? I was most likely reading question responses. I'm going to be honest. I'm a statistics nerd. My friend (also a stats head) said that this website is interesting. It is like having free access to a giant global survey where people are incredibly candid. I find this http://blog.okcupid.com/ to be a very entertaining. I actually wish the admins would give me access to their database (not in a creepy way, purely anonymous data points) so I could spend hours of my free time coding models in S.A.S.

From what I have observed, there area shocking number of people that portray one or more of these characteristics.
1. Hyper nationalism
2. Homophobia
3. religious hypocrisy (attesting ardent faith but obviously not practicing. I draw no issue with faith, just practice what you preach)
4. support of eugenic practices
5. Racism ( it particularly bothers me if you think race is a biological determinate of intelligence. As a student of demography the statistic do not hold...you are in fact being racist)
6. Material worship
7. Victim blaming
8. Sexism (not just men, I find some girls on here disturbingly depreciative towards their own sex)

In a way, I guess that is fine. I'm no angel either, we all have our issues. However, if you are any to all of the above we probably don't have much to talk about. Not that I'll rebuke you, I'm nice to just about any and everyone. I just won't be coy in asserting that I think these are wrong.

That aside, I am an ENTJ for what it is worth. http://www.personalitypage.com/ENTJ.html

My humor is dry and subtle. My typical deadpan delivery can get me in trouble form time to time. I'm cursed with a dearth of expression; while I'm jesting 90% of the time I seem serious. Those who know me apparently think I'm very fun. Those who don't probably just get confused or think I'm weird. I am a paranomasiac; double entendres are my bread and butter. I'm seeking the ever elusive triple and the yet discovered quadruple.

I'm vegan and strait edge, but don't be misled by these traits. I'm not some militant, SEM, fur coat ruining, party crashing jack off. I actually spend a lot of time at parties and clubs with my friends. Meat doesn't freak me out, I've skinned animals before (I may have changed over the years, but I'm still from the south). These all personal choices. I wasn't put on this earth to be your mommy and make choices for you, please show me the same respect.

Maybe I could have changed the order of these topics, I probably loose 75% of interest at the word "statistics."

The number of times I use "I" in my profile really bothers me.
What I’m doing with my life
Finished my last year of grad school for 2 masters, Urban Planning and Demography, in 2012. The next couple years of my life will be dedicated to working and traveling abroad. I spent a couple months in south India interning with a low income housing non profit. I'm now living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and work as a senior environmental consultant.
I’m really good at
Endurance sports, I am an avid runner. At one point in my life I was racing for FSU's cycling and triathlon teams. I was never the best person in the field, but was above the average. I'm not what I once was, but I stay active.

Working with my hands. I have always had a proclivity for fixing and building. I enjoy hard labor when I have the time. Through high school and early college I worked on classic hot-rods with my dad. More recently I bought a foreclosed duplex and renovated it.

Random and boring facts about a large range of topics. Really...I have at least superficial knowledge about most things.

Knowing the lyrics to a lot(I mean a lot) of songs that I have no inhibitions for singing.
The first things people usually notice about me
Most people say their first impression of me is that I'm smart but intimidating. They warm up quickly once the conversation starts.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read...a lot... I enjoy a wide range of genres, but tend to find myself engrossed with fantasy and sci fi novels.
Some authors I like: George R. R. Martin, Spider Robinson, Charles de Lint, Kurt Vonnegut, John Steinbeck, Raymond Feist, and *GHASP!* L. Ron Hubbard. NO I don't believe in Scientology. But consider this; if you can write well enough convince people to believe in something as ridiculous as Scientology...you can't be that bad of a writer.

I love Cartoons, mostly the 80s and 90s. I'm talking from MTV, CTN, and Nicktoon heydays: The Max, The Head, Aeon Flux, Cartoon Sushi, Spawn, Swat Cats, Freakazoid, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs. Wildcats, EEK! the Cat, Gargoyles, Bump in the Night, TNMNT, Savage Dragon, 2 Stupid Dogs, R & S, Roco's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, Undergrads, Mission Hill, Clone High, Amazing SPiderman, X-Men, Batman, Skeleton Warriors, King Author and the Knights of the Round Table... and on and on. There are some good contemporaries like Chowder and Adventure Time. If I watch something that is new and animated, it will most likely be an Anime. Also, I know it sounds stupid, but I hate it when people think Family Guy is funnier than Futurama.

I am painfully nostalgic about movies. Batteries Not Included, Princes Bride, Little Monsters, Goonies, Short Circuit, Radio Flyer, Milo and Otice, Dark Crystal, Sand Lot, Stand by Me, Labyrinth, Heavy Weights, Addams Family, any of Don Bluth's 80s and early 90s works. ...you get the picture. All movies that I live in constant fear of accidentally seeing on a T.V. I don't want to shatter the pristine affinity I have for them by re-watching as an adult.

It is not a movie, but probably one of the most brilliant feature length videos I've watched is Last Lecture, by Randy Pausch

Shameless country music fan, but also love trad ska and punk.

I'm vegan, but still consider myself a gastronome. In general I love most foods.
The six things I could never do without
My close friends, Coffee, running, my hobbies, dancing, and books.
On a typical Friday night I am
Use to be dancing or hanging out with friends....Reading or Watching a movie now that I live in South India. there is pretty much no viable night life in Trivandrum.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I 100% think that some level of solvency is important in life, But....most people want way more in excess than what is needed. Given this, I 100% believe that money can't buy you happiness. I think these are naive people that are only going to find hollow disappointment in life. I 100% believe that money is an awful reason to marry. I think people that do are short sited and destined for infidelity or divorce.

It annoys me when people answer this section with "why would I say anything private on a public website?"
A. Every time you answer or explain a question you are telling us something private.
B. I think you are confusing the word 'private' with the word 'personal.'
