***Before you read further, I am not actually in Tucson yet. I am currently in Afghanistan, and will be for a few months before returning to Georgia. I have orders to Tucson and should be there by next Summer. I feel that it would be nice to have someone befriended before I arrive. Show me around the area, and if we like each other then so be it. I guess a pen pal, or an email buddy or just a friend to start off with would be nice.***

So here I am. 32. Single. No kids. A dog I love. Looking forward to moving to Tuscon. I spent 9 years of my 13 year military career in Georgia and it just wasn't the place for me. I was born in NY City and am pretty much a city boy at heart. So I think Tucson will be better for me then the dirty south.

I really want to be able to go out for a nice dinner, listen to some live music, an just have some nice conversation. Not looking for too far beyond that at first, more of wanting to take it as it goes. I mean of course if we both knock each other off our frets then why not?

One last thing, I am not into drugs or those that do them. If you dabbled when you were younger thats cool, but I feel that when one grows up, its time to put the childish things away.

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan as an Advisor to the Afghan Air Force. I volunteered for this one year tour in order to get orders out of my current base in Valdosta, GA. In February I will finish my tour here in Afghanistan and return to Georgia in order to process my move to Tucson. I hope to be in Tucson by the summer of 2013, and will try to purchase a house upon arrival. I am really excited to start a new chapter in my life.

Ok… well I have deployed so I have been without a lot of things.
So I feel this is more a list of things I prefer to not be without…
First, Family. I dont live near them but I can't go on without them. I hope that makes sense.
Second, Friends. My good friends are like brothers and sisters to me, so refer to the first line.
Third, My dog. She is my baby girl. You cannot compete. And if you met her, you would never want to. ;-)
Fourth, Coffee. Do not talk to me until I drink my morning coffee. It will not turn out well for either of us.
Fifth, My washer and dryer… When you deploy a lot you learn the value of clean clothes, and fresh towels. I never reuse a towel when I am home. Sorry environment. This ones for me.
Sixth, Music. Music will even me out when I need it. Motivate me when I am slow. Bring me back to memories of my past, good and bad. I never go away unless I have at least three sets of headphones.

America, and buying a nice house. Also family and friend that I miss and love

Sleeping for work the next day… Well at least while I am here in Afghanistan. Friday is actually the Afghans only day off during the week.

But Friday nights back home… a nice dinner with a good friend is always welcome. Not so into the party scene, but I dont mind a few drinks and conversation. Occasionally I go out with the guys and get a little wrecked, but that is rare now.

Ok is this a realistic statement? If something is so private and I admit it on here then it really isn't private. Don't get me wrong, I am more then willing to be open and honest with a girl I am interested with, but I just dont see how to properly answer this statement on here. I guess I have to read other peoples profiles to see what they are putting here.

If you can handle sarcasm, and want to make friends with someone who will eventually be in Tucson. Also if you would like some good conversation and a nice dinner when I show up. If you are easy going but know when its time to take it up a notch.
