My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been in the city six years now, and although I miss family in MI and the mountains of CO, San Francisco has quickly become my favorite. I love the amazing live music, food and people in the city along with the proximity to the ocean, wine country and some great skiing. Timber and I have roamed and climbed all over in the city and beyond. I'm looking for an adventurous woman to join me for all of the above.

Let's traverse a trail or play some tennis, or if it's foggy, shoot some pool in a pub with a good IPA. My favorite movies are classics but not always at the top of everyone's list. My musical tastes run from the Black Keys to Muddy Waters and almost everything in between. I'm clever, well-read and educated with a wry, sarcastic sense of humor and I bet I can make you laugh at least a couple of times on our first date. I'm also independent, but I enjoy the company of a smart and funny woman with a great smile. In the words of Mr. Waters, "I live the life I love and I love the life I live."
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
... a lot of things, but not great at any one thing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I'm with Timber, everyone notices her first and then, maybe my sunny disposition and my blue eyes.

I always have a couple of books in my messenger bag and one or two more on hold at the library. I try and have one fiction and one non-fiction on hand. Here's a short list, just off the top of my head:
Tell No One
The Road
Life of PI
The Devil in the White City
Killing Lincoln
Game of Thrones
and almost everything written by Elmore Leonard

I love the live music in San Francisco, with my favorites being guitar rock, blues and reggae:
Alabama Shakes
Buddy Guy
Foo Fighters
John Lee Hooker
Mark Knopfler
Led Zep
Neal Young
and anything by Jack White

I enjoy a good indie film at the theater along with any movie that has at least 80% on
Annie Hall
Deer Hunter
Jackie Brown
Lawrence of Arabia
Lost in Translation
Man on Wire
Raging Bull
Reservoir Dogs
Requiem for a Dream
Searching for Sugarman
Sound City
and almost everything by Woody Allen

I'm disappointed, no make that devastated, Breaking Bad is no more. The same thing happened when the Sopranos concluded so I suppose this too shall pass. I'm consoling myself with the fact that Walking Dead isn't half bad. I also recently tore through the first two seasons of House of Cards, and it was brilliant! Other than that, its mainly PBS for the News Hour, Frontline, as well as assorted documentaries. I'm also heartbroken that the Colbert Report is no more, but we still have the Daily Show to fall back on. And I do watch college sports; Go Blue!

I just thought of one thing I won't eat, black licorice. Otherwise, watch your plate when I'm at the table. I love Thai and Vietnamese food along with all the great Mexican food in the city, and I'm a sucker for the food trucks. I bow to Chairman Bao.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Timber dog
A winding trail
Red wine
Flip flops
A good book (with a cover and real pages)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
... after living in Vail and now San Francisco, can I top them? I always imagine someone whispering Hawaii as an answer to that question.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...relaxing on my balcony with a glass of wine if it has been a long week. Otherwise out and about catching a show or looking for another great restaurant.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
... is that I'm too private to talk about it here.
