My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, I'm mostly just doing life (not saying so as though it's a burden but living life is cliched if not redundant), seeing what's coming and pursuing goals, hopes and dreams.

Admittedly, these self-summaries are necessarily awkward. Regardless, I'm here and interested in meeting people.

Would love someone to share experiences with, laughter, the occasional meal (I like to cook and like to have someone to share such with - obviously, not really something to be done on a first date). But I think I've strayed from the self-summary, haven't I?

I am curious, creative, and compassionate
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After finishing law school, moved back to Bay Area after a long time in the east coast. Still, adjusting. I miss decent public transportation and yes, actual seasons. What am I supposed to do with all my coats and wool pants out here?

Went to law school after trying to prevent myself from doing that for too long. Still unsure if this was an effort at self-inflicted torture or actually really engaging with ideas and issues that matter and affect people. Obviously, we're hoping for the latter.

Lately, I've been cooking a lot more which really is lovely. As someone who can be analytical and always thinking working with my hands while cooking is just refreshing and then there's this thing created at the end and I can say, I made that. I always plate my meals. The debate is still out if this is a nice attention to detail or evidence of OCD.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Noticing that which is amusing. Things are pretty funny or ridiculous if you take the right view.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This really is a question for other people to answer and I'm not about to do something as self-involved as have people fill out surveys on me.

I've been told I come off as intelligent or creative but I don't think that's necessarily "first thing people usually notice" quality. It's not like one looks across a room and thinks, s/he looks intelligent or creative.

Old ladies tend to notice my hair. They're quite fond of it. I don't let lead to an overly inflated ego given when you have blue hair and it's not Halloween I guess my hair or anything is pretty great.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

As I Lay Dying (and more recently, Absalom, Absalom!), Genealogy of Moral, Discipline and Punish, A People's History of the Supreme Court (more exciting than it might sound), Catch 22.

I think Hudsucker Proxy is an underrated Cohen Bros. film. There's just a beauty of it all coming together, you know for kid! Good Fellas, Crimes and Misdemeanors, old Connery Bond Films.

Everything likely comes down to Radiohead, from Floyd (high school carryover) to Stars, Modest Mouse all seem to merge on Radiohead. Afghan Whigs though Greg Dulli needs to get over is women issues. Lately, I've been listening to Headlights.

I guess I should admit a love of bacon. Not sure what it is but there's something just lovely about it. Don't eat it that frequently but for a while while considering going to culinary school wanted to eventually open a restaurant called bacon. Yes, I do eat other things; enchiladas that I make. Generally, love food and cooking.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee, a good chef's knife (for cooking purposes), decent conversation, people, books and I'm sure there's something else but it's escaping me right now. Yes, number six would be that thing that helps me find what number six is. Well, I guess then I would have to have seven things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The wonder of things. Then I tend to be a bit amazed/shocked as to how unaware most are of everything around them.

Also a bit of a politics junkie so spend a lot of time on that, which is inevitably confused as to how in the world the other side lives their lives. Very strange. Actually go to a barber who is a self-proclaimed Tea Party Republican in an attempt to understand how others think.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to say, "If it was truly private it wouldn't be admitted to here." but that's just a cheat of a response.

Okay, I will on occasion enjoy watching C-SPAN and BookTV.

you're curious. . . .

But really, would be interested in meeting an intelligent, attractive (yes, we all notice looks) woman. Someone who is into good conversation.
