My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've walked 5th Avenue from 1st to 59th, woken at dawn to the sound of a Zen gong and seen the sunrise turn the snow on Rocky Mountain peaks pink. I spent the first half of my adult life being semi-nomadic, and now here I am, a few blocks from the house I grew up in, with a great kid, my life full of family and dear old friends. Life is weird and wonderful!

I am intelligent, eccentric, and funny.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
As a nurse my job is to assess and analyze, but I also make excuses to hold my patient's hands , because I know how powerful touch is.
An important part of my mom-job is to supervise the mentos-in-coke experiment (as seen on Mythbusters). This is definitely an OUTSIDE project. Experience has taught me to use diet coke - it attracts fewer ants.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Vocabulary tests.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Leonine hair, Aquarian sparkle.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I am sensually omnivorous. If it's good, I like it. If you get to know me, you'll discover my favorites.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
the company of men
eating and drinking well
great conversation
deep friendships
incredible music
going somewhere I've never been before
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What is my purpose in being on this site?

My intention is to create a long term relationship, inspired by pleasure and attraction and the love that grows over time. I appreciate male energy, and I would like to connect with a man that I can play with, talk to, go out with, make love to and make dinner for. I desire a balance of closeness and space, freedom and commitment, depth and plain old fun.
And how will this man fit it into my son's life? We'll navigate the details when we get there. Whoever you are, you will see my son as part of a great twofer. C'mon, what man doesn't want to do the mentos-in-coke thing?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dropping my son off at Grandma's house, and easing my way out of social obligations so I can go for a late swim at the Y, when the water is quiet and I can have a lane to myself.
On a really good Friday night, I get lost in the water and time, forgetting to count the laps. I have a waterproof iPod shuffle, and I love the sensual surround of my body moving through water and my head full of music.
Now if I could only figure out how to eat dark chocolate at the same time.....
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was pathologically shy as a child. Now I talk to strangers all day.

.... you are smart like me and also know how to fix things, which I don't, so you can fix something while I make poulet au vinaigre and we discuss healthcare policy, or Enneagram typology (hope you like 8's!), or Star Wars mythology (that one provided enthusiastically by my son).
... a good time sounds like a summer evening in a park by the lake with some friends, (hopefully somebody knows how to grill), good conversation, forbidden wine in an opaque cup, the kids running in a circle on the grass laughing. Us sneaking off to hide behind the rocks and makeout like teenagers. are tempted to come with when I tell you I'm off to New York for a weekend Tango-for-beginners intensive.

P.S. Like the elderly and children, dogs love me, but my son's allergic, so if you love your shaggy dog, I'm afraid I can't love you.
Also, I am not willing to relocate. I love being enmeshed in my life, and I know there are fabulous men in my Chicago backyard (some of them are already my friends!)
