Movies: Pretty much anything that's not a completely sappy romance/romantic comedy. My top 5 movies would probably be (in no particular order): The Big Lebowski, Star Wars (original trilogy), The Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
TV: Anything Star Trek (especially DS9), Doctor Who, the Wire, Deadwood, A Game of Thrones, Carnivale, Archer, Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law, Homeland, Breaking Bad
Music: Anything that's not country. I tend to lag behind on musical trends (sorry, I'm not a hipster) so I rely on friends to recommend singers/groups to me. Some of my favorite artists include: Pearl Jam, the Unicorns, the Pixies, Tool, and the Deftones.
Food: I'll give pretty much anything that looks/smells tasty a try. Anything except green beans, that is. But that's a story for another time.
