My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a male twenty seven year old disillusioned idealist. I had great faith in the inherent goodness of man, but the longer I live the more I'm convinced that true altruism does not exist. I do not hold high hopes for this website being anything other than one more waste of time.

On the bright side; it has been an enjoyable waste of time. I'm well over three thousand questions in (O.o) and several of them have made me laugh. The change in view point on my personality alone justifies the time I have committed. Sometimes it's difficult to step back and analyze yourself without a little help.

I am confident, strong, and polite.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Recently promoted from technical peon to slightly better paid technical peon at my factory of work. Working on digging out my basement and adding an indoor pool, sauna or game room. I haven't come to a final conclusion, just waiting on the motivation to get started.

I do not enjoy drinking or wasting time in bars, and most of my friends are internet pals. You can imagine that I don't get out much socially, and I would like to change that. Dinner is to formal, and I am quite the competitive miniature golfer, so I guess what I am trying to ask is, do you want to go antiquing?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am really good at analyzing problems and thinking out solutions, and then organizing those solutions by time, cost, and difficulty.

Followed by watching television and procrastinating till the problem becomes to much for me to handle myself. Then passing the hat of leadership to someone else to fix the problem.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Due to some tossers complaining about my muttonchops violating some hair policy or another I've had to shave them off.
So I guess the first thing people notice is? Hmm, I'm not sure.

Time to stop random people on the street and ask.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite genre of books is science fiction. The Mechwarrior and Warhammer 40k book series' in particular are my favorite. The Dresden Files and Hollows series have been recommended to me by a friend, and after reading them and enjoying them I'll admit I like magic fiction as well.

Blaine Lee Pardoe is my favorite author. He wrote Operation Audacity, my favorite book, and I have read it over a dozen times. My second favorite author is Dan Abnett, and I really enjoyed his "Titanicus" and Gaunt's Ghosts series.

Ghostbusters 2, Starship Troopers, Shawn of the Dead, and Army of Darkness are my top 4 favorite movies. I'll watch pretty much anything though, but the worse a movie is the better the company I am watching the movie with needs to be.

The Protomen, Jolly Rogers, and Weird Al are the only bands I'll listen to the whole albums of continuously, but I like a wide variety of music in general. The Dixie Chicks 'Traveling Soldier', and Slipknots 'Wait and bleed'.

I have driven from Wichita to Oklahoma city for the sole purpose of going to a restaurant several times. I appreciate quality food, and have a lot of free time on my hands.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sight: The scariest dream I ever had, was one where I could hear, smell and touch, but everything was black. The content of the dream wasn't scary, so it wasn't a nightmare in the traditional sense, more like my subconscious wanted to see what blindness looked like. I realized then how important my eyesight is to me, and to lose it would take away so much of the world.

My hands: In the same vein as my sight, but while my eyes bring the world to me, my hands bring me to the world. If I lost my hands I would become a spectator to my own life, and that would be terrible to me.

Humor: A world without laughter. Get away you robots!

The internet: It is the idea of the internet, an unregulated exchange of ideas and knowledge. If the internet were replaced by something else that was in keeping with ideal of the current internet I wouldn't mind that. But to live where the internet was sanctioned or un-allowed, I couldn't.

Conviction: I feel very strongly about a wide variety of subjects, and though the subjects change the conviction remains. If I were to wake up one day without the fire inside, that is the day I would die.

Strength: Not physical strength, well okay, it is partly physical strength. I am strong. I don't just interact with my surroundings, I change them. I feel like moving a dozen bookcases'? One afternoon later and it's done. No need to ask for help.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Overly elaborate solutions to simple problems. ie, Rube Goldberg machines.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working. I work every Friday night and have for the last 2 years, excluding holidays and vacation.

To appease the spirit of this question, on days off I spend my evenings either watching television by myself or playing games online with my guild.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am not a very private person. I will answer questions truthfully and openly, but I am also not a very social person so the opportunities for me to do so are rare.

I don't believe the spirit of this question is to create a "who can make the most embarrassing list" competition.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I haven't spent a lot of time detailing specific interests, and with the depressing opening paragraph any interest in me as a person will be from test or question matches.

So if you match up and want to know some more information don't be afraid of starting a line of contact. Please have over 500 questions answered though, it doesn't take to much time and comparisons are more statistically significant with more data (usually).

Or to send corrections to my spelling and grammar.
