I'm a native New Yorker, which apparently makes me some kind of unicorn, because every time I mention this to someone, they say, "wow, you're the first one I've met!" When I follow that with the fact I've never had a license, I usually blow people's minds.

Basically, I try to be a good guy and remain true to myself. My friends are very important to me, and I must say, I have some really great ones. I'm pretty extroverted, though I definitely have my moments of quiet and shyness. I try to keep my life full of fun, which means anything from dancing my butt off until 4am to sitting home with someone watching a movie. I like going to karaoke at bars with cheap drinks .

I have a good job in marketing, like every other gay guy in New York apparently. I actually really love my job, and my company treats me really well, which is more than I can say for some of my past job experiences.

I live in Midtown West with one of my best friends, and he still remains one of my best friends despite having lived with me for 2 years (and because it's inevitable, yes, he's also gay, and no, we've never slept together). My cat also lives with us. She's like having the best dog in the world who doesn't require me to say things like, "I can't go away for the weekend, who will watch the dog?"...and no, I'm not that guy who will talk endlessly about his pet (she is kind of amazing, but I think I can manage a better conversation than that).

I recently had a friend ask me, "If you had to pick one thing to define your life, what would it be? Would it be love? Money? Your job?" As cheesy as it may sound, my answer was "the pursuit of happiness," so I guess that's what I'm doing with my life.

I'm like a walking IMDB. I'm also really good at some other things that would make my mother blush (actually, knowing my mom...probably not)

Personality-wise, I tend to be told that I'm really genuine and that I have an impressive vocabulary

Physically, guess it depends on if you're seeing me from the front or the back ;-)

(which leads to the second thing people notice about me personality-wise - I'm confidently sarcastic)

FOOD: Ice cream, anything wrapped in bacon...other than that, I'm not necessarily adventurous with what specifically I'll eat, but I will try any cuisine (i.e., I'm sure I can find something on the menu at the South African place besides the Ostrich). I also really like trying new restaurants. Cupcakes are an excellent way to persuade me to go anywhere with you.

TV: Currently I watch Revenge, Grey's Anatomy, Vampire Diaries, Once Upon A Time, Glee, Modern Family, Cougar Town, 30 Rock, Happy Endings, True Blood...and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. Past favorites include Buffy the Vampire Slayer (don't knock it til you've tried it), Lost, Nip/Tuck, Sex and the City, Six Feet Under

MUSIC: I have a pretty wide range of music, but in the interest of space I'll say I'm a Top 40 kind of guy with a penchant for sassy chicks that span various genres

MOVIES: I love going to the movies. Some favorites include: Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Gone with the Wind, the Harry Potter movies, Mean Girls, The Devil Wears Prada, Finding Nemo, all the various superhero movies (I was a huge comic book geek growing up), Enchanted, American Beauty...and a myriad of other crap

BOOKS: This could get complicated. Let's just say I enjoy reading and we can discuss further some other time.

Oh lists, I enjoy lists:

1. iPhone (it would be like gay castration)
2. DVR (I'm too addicted to TV but I refuse to let is rule my social calendar)
3. Ice Cream (if I became lactose intolerant, I'd grab several pints of Ben & Jerry's and die happy)
4. Excitement (self-explanatory)
5. Dancing (I tend not to go out dancing as much as I used to, but if it's really been awhile then the roommate and I will just have our own impromptu dance party in the living room)
6. My friends (awwwwwe)

In college I was in a play where I was covered in champagne, chocolate sauce and whipped cream on a nightly basis

...you have balls. If you're into me, have the balls to ask me out. If you're not into me, have the balls to let me know. Have the balls to tell me what you're thinking. If you're energetic and witty, genuine, have good manners and you're a little bit dorky...we'll get along just fine. Oh, and don't be flaky...this is New York, time is worth too much for us to waste each others.
