Hi there, my name is Don. I've lived down here in Jacksonville, Florida for around 9 years now, and I have to say, I really like it down here. I came down here from Virginia Beach. It was nice when I grew up down there, but from recent visits, I can tell its really gone down hill. I grew up as a Navy brat, so I've been up and down the east coast. I do enjoy going down to the beach, but more for the night life than the swimming (when I write night life, I mean more casual, such as bars with live bands). I have a few interests. I enjoy reading, listening to music, watching movies, even occasionally geeking out to some video games. Something I really enjoy doing every now and then is jumping on my bicycle, riding around Jacksonville, and taking pictures with my digital camera. Nothing in particular, whatever catches my eye, both landscape and people. Well, that's a brief summary about myself, if there's anymore you want to know, feel free to ask.

At the moment I'm working temporary jobs to get by. But I have to say, that's not what I plan to do for the rest of my life. Right now I, for my short term goal, I plan to find a full time job. Preferably something either early morning, or late at night. Once I have that secured that I'm going to go back to college. I have an associates in computer science right now, but I know I can do better. I'd like to start a career in the tech world, most likely something in programming.

One of the things I would have to say that I'm good at is computer work. Out of most my friends and family I have, I'm usually one of the only “tech” guys they know. Sometimes that can be a good thing, sometimes it can get to be a hassle though. It feels good to be able to help someone with the knowledge I have, but there are times I'm trying to just kick back and relax, then my phone starts to blow up, lol. Though with all the practice I get at working with my skill, I can probably start a home business by now. Hey, now that's an idea, how about I start an under the table computer repair business. What do you think?

Well, I can't say that I've asked people what they think of me, but I guess if I had to put it down in writing (or typing) I would say this. People are usually surprised by how I really am after they've already made an assumption of who they think I am from first impression. Hmm, maybe that was a bit long way of putting it. What I mean to say is that when people first meet me, they seem to think I'm quiet, but after a short while I can easily be the life of the party. Its not really because of being a guarded person, its more because I'd like to know how the others think so I know where the lines are drawn. I'd much rather watch my step then put my foot in my mouth if you know what I mean.

When it comes to books, yes, I do like to read. Although I don't do it as much as I used too. I've read almost everything written by Stephen King. I enjoy most of his older writing than his newer stuff. Some of my favorite books are It, Desperation, The Regulators, and of course the Dark Tower series. I do enjoy other writings as well, such as Dean Koontz, but haven't read a whole lot of him. Now we move onto the Movie topic. I really enjoy all genre. Yes, even a some romance now and then isn't bad. Though when it comes to romance, it usually has to be in the romantic comedy area to keep my interest. My favorite type would probably have to the polar opposites of each other though. My favorite types are comedies and horror flicks. My all time favorite movie would have to be Spaceballs. There ain't no school like the old school!!! When it comes to music I try to stay open minded with it. I'll really listen to anything, but my favorite types would have to be Rock and R & B. Yes, there I go, hitting opposite sides of the globe again. But I can't help it, that's just my personality. If I need something to calm my head, I'll put on some R & B. If I need a lil adrenaline rush, that's when I crank up the rock. Now I'm not too partial with my rock, I'll usually just tune it in on the radio. But when it comes to my R & B, I do have my favorites. Call me what you will, but I enjoy some of the older stuff. Like Boys II Men, All 4 One, Uncle Sam, and anything else from that time frame... that reminds me, sheesh I really need to get a CD player for my car, there just aren't any good R & B stations down here in Jacksonville. Lets see.... favorite foods huh.... that's hard to say. I wasn't raised a picky eater so I'll try anything once, twice if I like it. LOL. But I guess my favorite dish would have to be cabbage and potatoes... mmm mmm good.

That's hard to say. I don't consider myself a very needy person, and the items that I consider high on my list of “needed” things are things I've had to do without at one point in another. Yet still, there are a few items I can think of that would make my daily life a hassle to get through.

A car – a car has almost become a necessity since most people have to commute to work now.
Computer – remember, I am a nerd/geek after all :P
Internet – I think just about everyone I needs to use the internet at least once in a while, even for work
Cell phone – We never know how much we need our mobile phones until they break or we can't use them
Computer tools – refer back to item 2 :P
My bicycle – If car breaks down, I have to have a back up.

Those are the material items I couldn't do without, I know I couldn't do without my family and friends.couldn't live without would be my family and friends, lol.

My future, such as college. Then moving onto career, and eventually making a family of my own.

Well, usually by the time Friday comes around I need to unwind from a long week of work. I don't usually do anything crazy. In most cases, me and a few friends of mine will go down to the beach, find a nice bar with a good live band, and share a pitcher or two. Now and then I'll have a few people over and play games or watch a few movies. I consider myself a fairly casual person, so clubs just aren't for me. My favorite thing to do would be to take a road trip... but that doesn't happen to often as of late, maybe you'd like to join me?

I'm a bit of a geek, I enjoy video games and anime, just not as much as I used too.
